The Lord’s Flock OPEN HOUSE (40th Anniversary Celebration) April 19, 2026

The Lord’s Flock (TLF) Catholic Charismatic Community excitedly opened the doors of the Heritage Worship and Formation Center on Sunday, April 19, 2026, for its first-ever Open House, the third event of the month-long 40th Anniversary celebration, “Across Generations, Beyond Boarders.”  Head Servant, Sis. Mik R. Flores, aptly described this event as an expression of gratitude for God’s faithfulness in the life and ministry of the community, and also a call to action –  stepping out to extend God’s love to neighbors, and sharing the blessings God has bestowed upon the TLF community.

“Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers for some who have done this

have entertained angels without realizing it” (Hebrews 13:2).

With Bro. Boboy Luna (Mission Ministry Head Steward) and Bro. Jess Medallo (Core  Group Steward), as co-chairpersons, the significant and fun-filled morning featured delightful activities designed to cater to participants of all ages. Two hundred seventy-eight (278) attendees (181 guests/non-members and 97 TLF members) participated in the seven (7) activities which were conducted simultaneously in the different areas of the Heritage.

The Kingdom Works Ministry (KWM) led by Stewards Sis. Pee-wee Sarte and Sis. Baby Salazar, served as the overall coordinator, with  massive support from the various ministries.

Pre-event:

To generate awareness and participation among the neighboring barangays, invitation letters were sent to the St. Jude Quasi-Parish and to the Resurrection of the Lord Parish.  Additionally, flyers were distributed by KWM workers to church parishioners.

Furthermore, a dry run was conducted the day before the event to ensure the smooth flow of activities from the basement to the events place (6th floor).

Welcoming the Guests

Elder-Founder Sis. Techie Soar Rodriguez led the Council of Advisers, Head Stewards, Stewards, Facilitators, and Volunteers in welcoming the guests. They introduced the community’s Vision and Mission, and provided connection invitation cards to maintain contact with the guests for future and regular TLF activities.

The Host Ministry facilitated the registration activity, which began at 7:15 am. In particular, the TLF East Hub Chapter, headed by Sis. Gemma Alcantara (Steward) and  Bro. Satur Tuyogon (Heralds Ministry) welcomed the  participants at the gate with cordial greetings, the “TLF smile” and an upbeat dance number! The sincere conversations created a joyful and  pleasant guest experience. Additionally, the Married and Single Cluster SGLs (Small Group Leaders) and members volunteered as assimilators and facilitators and distributed flyers for the May 9-10 SES (Spirit Empowerment Seminar), one of the community’s evangelization entry points.

Meanwhile, the General Services team assigned marshals on every floor to lead the guests to the appropriate rooms for their chosen activity.

Zumba

The day started with a high-energy Zumba session that was spearheaded by the Koros (Dance) Ministry under stewards, Bro. Joshua Tapia and Bro. Emman Almendrala. Sis Joy Uy and the youth started the zumba hype at 7:30 am outside the Heritage and this continued at the Sanctuary. This gave the Seasoned Adults (as assimilators) and guests a well-deserved opportunity to de-stress, exercise, and dance in a “fitness party” which added to the joyful and celebratory atmosphere of the event.

Dance for the Youth Workshop

With the Young Adults and New Generation members serving as assimilators, the dance workshop was also facilitated by the Koros Ministry at the Sanctuary. The instructors enthusiastically showcased their impressive dance skills to a total of thirty-nine (39) participants, most of whom were youth residents from Barangay Paltok and Nayong Kaunlaran. The vibrant energy, strong enthusiasm, and commendable talent of the participants made the workshop a standout highlight of the Open House activities.

Medical Mission

The Lord’s Flock’s St. Luke’s Ministry (composed of health professionals), under the stewardship of Sis. Peachy Nobleza, Bro. Ronald Gonzales, and Consultant Dr. Gie Geronimo offered medical services at the Events Place and distributed medicines to the patients.

An incredible team of seventeen (17) doctors – TLF doctors and three guest physicians –  Dr. Raymart Amago, Dr. Monica Amago, and Dr. Kingsly Drapete, provided free medical consultations to one hundred (100) individuals (25 guests and 75 TLF members). They were assisted by TLF nurses/health professionals and fourteen (14) nurses/caregivers from the San Lucas Nurses/Midwives Association.

Medicines were donated by Pascual Laboratory, Cathay Drug Company (c/o Mary Grace Famorcan Fernandez), TAISHO and CATHAY Drug (c/o Dr.Leslie Mae Favenir), Cardio Medz (c/o Dr. Marie Regala) and San Lucas Nurses and Midwives Assoc.

Service Ministry Head Steward, Bro. Raymund Nobleza provided full support along with Sis. Pee-wee Sarte (KWM Steward) as point person, and the Married Cluster members as assimilators.

Dental Mission

On the other hand, St. Lukes Ministrys five dentists and two guest dentists, Dr. Jovita Merrera and Dr. Meg Jugueta, provided dental services which included check-ups, tooth extractions and fluoride applications to fifty-seven (57) patients (35 guests and 22 TLF members) at the Heritage Clinic.

Storytelling and Fun Activities for the Kids

Held at the 5th Floor of the Sanctuary, the Small World Group led by Stewards Sis. Aileen Francisco and Sis. Jennifer Bayani, organized a Story Telling activity: “Unlocking Minds Through Reading Where Stories Come Alive!” They were assisted by twenty (20) workers in steering the fifty-five kids and facilitating the numerous stations which included Word Hunt, Fun Games, Arts and Crafts, prizes.

Free Haircut

Meanwhile, on the 3rd  floor, seven (7) hair cutters gave free haircut services to fifty-eight individuals (29 guests and 29 TLF members). Sis Elena Garcia (KWM member) requested for volunteers from “Hair Aid” –  an Australian non-profit organization that teaches hair cutting skills to enable trainees to start their own businesses.

SHARING MEALS

The KWM Food Committee was assisted by the Marshalls in the distribution of Mcdonalds and Jollibee meals (sponsored by 2 TLF families) to the guest volunteers – doctors,  nurses, hair cutters and Small World guests. On the other hand, the TLF members/workers were served with appetizing rice porridge/eggs and goto. The meals and logistical expenses were sponsored by generous TLF members, relatives and friends and the MWSS Chapter.

.

In closing, the Mission Ministry extended their gratitude to everyone for the successful OPEN HOUSE.

“Thank you so much for all your support to our Open House event, which made it a highly

successful community-wide undertaking!” (Bro. Boboy Luna, Head Steward)

Truly, the successful Open House Event once again demonstrated God’s faithfulness and divine providence to the TLF community, empowering its leaders, workers, and volunteers to serve as instruments in sharing love, compassion, and service to their neighbors.

To God be the glory!
