The much awaited 80th birthday celebration of Sis. Techie “Soar” M. Rodriguez was held last August 9, 2026, Sunday at the 2nd floor of the Seda Hotel Vertis North, Quezon City. It was attended by around two hundred eighty guests composed of family, friends and members of the Lord’s Flock Community: the ladies were shimmering in their colorful gowns, while the gentlemen looked dashing in their suits. Everyone was enthusiastic in honoring Soar’s milestone especially since she remains active and tireless with her mission of caring and pastoring the global community.
Guests were impressed with the foyer which was bedecked with photos of Soar through the years, and the guests took their time taking photos, and having fun with the video 360 booth.

The program started with the festive grand entrance of Soar, as her “inaanaks” (godchildren) welcomed her with a lively dance performance to the tune of a song specially composed for her “Grace Upon Grace” composed by Kent of Pinoy Music Studio.

Bro. Keith Ayuso from the LF Dubai Chapter surprised Soar when he came out and sang “She” composed by Elvis Costello, as “Tatay Bob” Rodriguez asked his blooming wife to dance.

A “paper planes” game ensued, where selective guests who caught the pink and purple planes participated in a game, “How well do you know Soar?”
Thereafter, the Execom presented her with flower bouquets. This was followed by the lighting of eight (8) symbolic candles by people closest to her, led by Tatay Bob, Bro. Froilan Hong (Co-Founder and her main Mission Partner), Sis. Mik Flores (her unica hija and the community’s Head Servant) who honored Soar and wished her well.

Subsequently, the cake was brought in, and everyone sang the birthday song. In turn, Soar shared her birthday wish – for long life, healthy body and for the Lord’s Flock to continue its vision and mission. Furthermore, she gave a very inspiring message about her life – how a woman of the world, turned into a woman of the WORD. She further talked about the hardships she went through as she cared for the members of the community. She wished that her “faith virus” may “contaminate” all members and more people. She promises to continue going on missions and will soar higher, as she believes that the Lord will still strengthen and equip her. Moreover, she encouraged the members to pursue the vision and mission that God entrusted to the community. Finally, she thanked Tatay, her forever partner, and Rev. Bishop Teodoro C. Bacani Jr. D.D. who has guided her, supported her and believed in her through the years.

Another highlight of the event was the launching of Soar’s latest book “Soaring on Eagle’s Wings” inspired by Isaiah 40:31 which aptly describes the indefatigable Elder-Founder of the Lord’s Flock: “They that hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on eagles’ wings, will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.” Sis. Te Florentino, Scribes Ministry’s lead transcriber of the book, led the presentation, and called on the team consisting of Bro. Froilan (Head of the Scribes Ministry), the Book Team (Vera Tuplano, Jo Advincula), the Comms and Layout team (Dinah Sario and Jona Ramos), artist for the cover design (Owen Ualat), Printer (Rose Estrella) and Printing Sponsor (Dinky Florentino). Thereafter, she called on Soar, Tatay Bob and Sis. Mik Flores to accept the first prints of “Soaring on Eagle’s Wings.” Soar was delighted to see this book in publication and encouraged the guests to avail of a copy, which will start selling during the “May Isa Pang Teresa” musical on the 16th of August.

No delightful party could end without festive dancing. Consequently, as the band sang the hit songs of the 80s to the 90s, the dance floor was opened for dancing to the delight of many members.
Lastly, as the evening reached its highest energy, the dancing guests converged around Tatay Bob to sing the birthday song to him on his 82nd birthday on the 10th of August.

Truly, an evening to remember in honor of the beloved elders-founders, Soar and Tatay Bob, as they remain fortified to do more of God’s purpose.
To God be the glory!
