Tatay Bobby Rodriguez (Elder-Founder) and the Mission team joined the TLF UAE Chapter in their Thanksgiving Eucharistic Mass for their 11th Anniversary last September 07, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Community has been blessed with growing membership throughout the eleven years and were overjoyed to have the TLF Elder-Founder join in their celebration “A Decade Plus One: Celebration of Steel and Sparks!
The program started early with Janette Antenor as the moderator and she welcomed the guests to the momentous occasion. Theressa de Jesus (PSALM Coordinator) together with PSALM and Koros Ministries led the opening song and prayer.
Everyone participated in the energetic singing and dancing, including the honorable visitors: Tatay Bob, Dinky (Execom) & Te Florentino (Scribe Steward), and Mel Capistrano (Pastoral Leader). Tatay Bob shared words of encouragement, while the others also shared their testimonies on how the charismatic renewal changed their lives. Their sharing of their encounters with God gave emotional inspiration to the community.
On the other hand, Magnolia Sagarino (Scribes) and Queenie Labial (Small World Coordinator) also shared their continuous life-changing experiences while serving the Lord. The overall message from the speakers emphasized that God forgives and gives second chances. Everyone must repent, surrender themselves to God, and improve their character as a Christian and charismatic member.
Subsequently, Fr. Leny Escalada OFM Cap (community’s spiritual director) celebrated the Thanksgiving Eucharistic Mass. Members of the UAE Chapter served during the mass: Magnolia Sagarino (mass commentator), Lalaine Acuña (mass reader), Ronald Sagarino (mass reader), Janette Sagarino (coordinator), and Emolyn Bucsit, Joeisha Espeso, and Loise Arabis (Lay ministers).
This celebration provided the opportunity to reminisce and share lessons to help strengthen the community. With the help of the Holy Spirit, may the community continue to fulfill God’s given mission to spread the word to more people.
