The Lord’s Flock UAE Chapter leaders held a fellowship dinner to warmly welcome Sis Techie “Soar” Rodriguez, Elder-Founder of the Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community, and her mission team. The event was held at the Hyatt Place, Rigga, Dubai on Feb. 15, 2024. The community leaders were in high spirits as they were eager to have a fun evening casually interacting with their beloved Soar prior to a week-long series of activities.
Welcoming & Dining with the Guests
The program was hosted by the Stewards Lourdes Inong and Agnes Pilapil who officially welcomed the visitors ecstatically. Everyone enthusiastically exchanged pleasantries. Steward Jennifer De Castro led the prayer in thanksgiving for the lovely buffet. Everyone enjoyed the food and the delightful conversations around the table.
After the dinner, Soar shared her message for all the UAE leaders and spoke about the 14 Qualities of a potential leader. Taken from the Biblical stories, a leader must have specific qualities to fulfill the different tasks given to them. The message was a challenging goal for everyone; but, with prayers and and consistent practice, they can be attained.
Thereafter, the UAE community, led by Steward Paterno Inong, presented gifts to Soar & the Mission team to show their appreciation for the visit to the community. Soar and the guests were very much delighted and grateful for the warm welcome and generosity of the community.
Dancing the Night Away
Subsequently, dancing time commenced. The UAE leaders had been preparing their production numbers and enthusiastically showcased their talent and ballroom dancing skills.
The Manila team surprised everyone with an interpretative dance while the audience all enjoyed trying to guess the plot. The next presentation came from the Singles Ministry who performed a series of pop songs that set the pace for ballroom dancing. Finally, the Cana Ministry did cha-cha dance to bring back memories of classical ballroom dancing.
Wrapping up and Closing
After all the presentations, everyone eagerly danced and took pictures with the guests.
Indeed, the UAE leaders took home the inspiring message on leadership, and were energized by fellowship with one another. Everyone was excitedly looking forward to more of Soar’s messages and activities for the community.
