The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community UAE Singles Group, comprised of 31 participants from Dubai, Ras Al-Khaimah, and Abu Dhabi Chapters, celebrated a memorable Valentine’s Day at the Chinese Star Restaurant in Al Ghurair Mall, Dubai. The singles fellowship headed by Janice Zamora (Ministry coordinator) was graced by the presence of the dearly beloved Elder-Founder Sis. Techie ‘Soar’ Rodriguez and her Mission Team. They acquainted themselves cordially and received special instructions from Soar to be the spark for Jesus for all the singles in the UAE.
The fun-filled night began with the introduction of the Mission Team by Soar; this was followed by the introduction of UAE attendees in a unique way – by describing themselves using the first letter of their names. Janice Zamora led the opening prayer to officially start the event. The fellowship started with the sharing of different Chinese cuisines. After a scrumptious dinner, the Singles Ministry fellowship and Manila singles enjoyed an exciting group game hosted by Keith Ayuso and his sister Kara.
To conclude the event, Soar gave an insightful sharing about Valentine’s Day and love. She reminded everyone that everyone is born out of God’s love; thus, they need to always keep in mind the two most important commandments of the Lord: to love Him above all and to love others as themselves. She also lovingly reminded the singles to enjoy their current state of life, but never forget to pray about it and for a life partner. They must remember that their actions must speak of Jesus Christ and they must share the gospel with everyone. Lastly, she prayed for all the attendees. The fellowship ended with Theresa De Jesus leading everyone in the closing prayer.
Indeed, it was an evening full of love and a Valentine’s date worth remembering.
