On the sunny Sunday morning of July 23, The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community hosted the Singles and Youth Faith on Fire “DAY CAMP,” a follow-up activity to the successful “REKINDLE” Conference the previous weekend. This sought to build on their spiritual renewal through a youth empowerment seminar in a format that was engaging to young people with games, group activities, reflection and sharing.
The moderators, Maan Almendrala and Bea Baclig enthusiastically welcomed forty-five guests, who excitedly trooped to the Heritage Events Place for the all-day event. They started with games to have the guests get to know one another in a fun way. The Psalm Ministry, led by Kent Galido and Dahpne Tapia, energized the group through worship songs and the now famous “Rekindle” chant.
Sis Grace Pancho (Evangelize Ministry) and Justin Pacquing (Psalm Ministry) facilitated the teaching of “The Four Basic Truths” through a series of group activities, reflection and discussion.
- God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life.
- Man is sinful and separated from God.
- Jesus Christ is the only provision for man’s sin.
- We must individually receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
Finally, everyone affirmed their commitment to the Lord, shared their thoughts on what they learned, and signed up for their future small groups in the Community.
