The Evangelize Ministry held the first Spirit Empowerment Seminar (SES) for 2023 on Feb 25-26, 2023 at The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community (TLF) Sanctuary. The 260 attendees listened attentively to the teachings which sought to reawaken the Holy Spirit that they received during their sacramental Baptism and to allow the Holy Spirit to be their partner in life.
On Saturday, the first day of the seminar, Bro. Raymund Nobleza warmly welcomed the guests and introduced them to “The Power Praise and Worship.” Subsequently, there were two other speakers:
- Bert Gamez (Heralds Ministry) who talked about “The Power of God’s Love, The Power to Save and Redeem.”
- Judith Almendrala (TLF New Generation Steward) who discussed the teaching on “Experiencing the Power to be Transformed” and shared her life story of forgiveness and transformation to a new life with the Lord.
The second day was a spirit-filled Sunday. Sis Gina Duran, who was the moderator in the seminar welcomed the guests. She introduced Bro. Architect Froilan Hong (Co-founder of TLF) whose talk focused on the “Supernatural Aftermath” which was the acceptance of the Holy Spirit as their partner in life. More importantly, he detailed about what they would do after the Baptism in the Holy Spirit:
- Study the Word of God through the teachings of the Apostles.
- Embrace a new Spiritual Family – a community which will show them how to LIVE THE WORD.
- Offer themselves in the service of others.
- Talk to God always. Prayer works!
Next, Sis Techie (Soar) Rodriguez preached about “The Empowerment (Receiving) of the Holy Spirit.” The Holy Spirit was sent by the Lord to be their Advocate (intercessor) and Paraclete (partner). The Holy Spirit would lead them to live in the image of Jesus Christ (Eph. 4) if they would allow Him in their life. Moreover, Soar shared her own spiritual journey since her renewal in 1980. She and her husband, Bro Bobby Rodriguez (Tatay Bob), TLF Elder-Founder, experienced trials, persecutions, and radical transformation to prepare them for a life of service to the Lord and to be leaders of the Lord’s Flock Community.
Finally, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit was led by Sis Norma Ramos (Heralds Ministry) as they altogether prayed, denounced satan, and affirmed their belief in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The candidates/seekers closed their eyes, lifted their hands, and opened their mouths in prayer to accept the Holy Spirit into their hearts. Many were moved by the song in the background, “Come Holy Spirit, I need you…”
A Holy Mass and a final blessing by Fr. Rhen Caculitan, O.Carm, concluded the two-day seminar. The candidates/seekers were reminded to come back and attend the second seminar “Maturing in the Spirit” on March 4, 2023.
