“Confident that the one who began the good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6).
Facing 2026 West Coast Chapters, carrying the theme “Rise Up!”, was held on August 29, 2026, in the Parish Centre of Mary Magdalene, at 1241 S. Corning St., Los Angeles (LA), California. The gathering brought together all the six West Coast chapters for a time of reflection, fellowship, vision, and renewal. It was a significant opportunity for the community to meet face to face once again the Lord’s Flock Community’s Elders-Founders, beloved Sis. Techie “Soar” Rodriguez and Bro. Bobby “Tatay Bob” Rodriguez along with Sis. Michaela “Sis Mik” Flores (Head Servant) and Sis. Judith Almendrala (Outreach Steward). The theme “Rise Up!” served as a call for everyone to stand firm in their calling and embrace the responsibilities entrusted to them by God. It was a time for all to look back with gratitude, recognize the faithfulness of its leaders, and prepare for another year of service.
Messages from the Elders-Founders
At the activity, Tatay Bob encouraged the members to reflect deeply on the leadership roles and responsibilities. Drawing from Philippians 3:13, he reminded everyone not to dwell on what is behind but to press forward toward what God has prepared ahead. Leadership requires continual growth, frequent reflection, perseverance, and grit to move forward. He encouraged leaders to examine their own lives and consider how their example influences those whom God has entrusted to their care. “Rise Up!” also meant for every leader to move forward in faith despite challenges.
Additionally, Soar emphasized that leadership is not about one’s title or position. True leadership is demonstrated by leading through example, walking in obedience, and recognizing the position as a sacred service given by God. She reminded the members that leadership involves discipleship, humility, sacrifice, and a willingness to serve others before oneself. A leader must be willing to model the values and faith where it can be copied by others. She challenged every leader to embrace the calling not for recognition, but for the building of God’s Kingdom.
Exciting New Plans
After the profound messages, Sis. Mik Flores shared exciting plans and new programs designed to strengthen families and the next generation. One of the initiatives is Couples Date Night, which aims to encourage couples to nurture their relationships and grow together in faith and love. For the New Generation (New Gen), youth camps were mentioned to provide opportunities for young members to gain fellowship, learn, grow spiritually, and build meaningful relationships. The youth were also encouraged to participate in World Youth Day 2027 in South Korea to have a chance to meet young Catholics from around the world. Hence, these programs showed the leaders’ desire to invest in families and the youth for sustaining the future generations in doing God’s work.
Further, one of the highlights of the forthcoming programs is The Kingdom Works initiative – the ministry’s charitable arm for the less fortunate. The program seeks to extend practical assistance and compassion to the people in need aside from sharing God’s word. Included in the vision for 2027, The Kingdom Works aims to support 300 children in Payatas (Philippines) as a response to the call of Christ to care for the vulnerable and to become His hands and feet to the poor. Through these charitable efforts, the community prays it might bring hope, dignity, and tangible blessings to families and children in need.
2025 Recognition and Awards
After the important messages, the activity showcased the recognition of the 2025 leaders, honoring their dedication, service, and commitment for their undying support. Special awards were presented to recognize outstanding contributions and excellence in
ministry.
The Dublin Chapter received the Most Promising Chapter Award, recognizing its growth and potential in advancing the ministry’s mission. Bro. Joey and Sis. Joy Molina, and Sis Maria Roy were honoured with the Hall of Fame for the Most Generous Award, celebrating their heart of generosity and willingness to support the Lord’s work. These awards recognized and appreciated the chapter’s and members faithful service, commitment, and generosity.
Consecration of 2026 Leaders
Next, the anointing and consecration process for the Stewards, Consultants and Coordinators was given by Soar and Tatay Bob. Leaders representing Bakersfield, Daly City, Dublin, Las Vegas, Sacramento, and Los Angeles were appointed and entrusted with their responsibilities for the incoming year. The solemn moment reminded everyone that leadership is not merely an assignment but a sacred responsibility. As they begin another year of service, these leaders were encouraged to remain united and committed to the vision of the ministry. Their consecration marked a new beginning as they answered the call to rise up and serve God’s people.
An incident happened during the Facing rites that was an opportunity to glorify God. Sis. Jeanifer Joaquin was suddenly overcome by a severe headache and decided to go to the emergency room. However, as soon as Soar learned of her condition, she immediately interceded in prayer as she paused the leaders’ consecration ceremony. While Soar prayed, Sis. Jeani felt the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit, and in that very moment, she experienced instant healing. The severe headache completely disappeared! With joyful hearts, the congregation praised and thanked God for His miraculous healing touch and celebrated Soar’s faith and compassion to pray for Sis. Jeani.
Surprise Birthday Honoring for Tatay Bob and Soar
The second part of the celebration was a surprise – honoring the birthdays of Tatay Bob (August 10) and Soar (August 6). A visual presentation highlighted their visits to chapters throughout the West Coast. The presentation allowed the members to reminisce on the many journeys, encounters, and fellowships which have strengthened the chapters and united the community as one family.
Moreover, the celebration continued with special dance presentations from the Stewards and the New Generation, adding joy and warmth to the occasion. Indeed, it was a heartfelt expression of gratitude for two leaders whose lives have been devoted to guiding and serving the flock.
In the same way, individual appreciation messages were also shared by those who have witnessed their leadership firsthand. Sis. Carmella Molina focused on what she has learned through the years from her Soar, her eldest sister. Similarly, Bro. Derick Santiago (North America Steward) recognized Soar’s role in bringing more souls to Christ and her strict guidance and reprimands to members when necessary. Additionally, Sis. Joy Molina (Las Vegas Steward) highlighted Soar’s approachability for members even during moments when following her leadership can be challenging. Truly, their messages reflected the reality of Soar’s faithful leadership at different phases of the community.
As the West Coast chapters move into another season, the call remains clear: Rise up, lead by example, be obedient, serve with humility, and build God’s Kingdom. In faith and in unity, The Lord’s Flock community looks forward to what God will accomplish in the years ahead.
