On July 25, 2026, members of The Lord’s Flock from across the East Coast gathered with joyful hearts for the much‑awaited East Coast Worship Conference, held at Our Lady of Victories Parish Basement Church on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Jersey City, New Jersey. It was a day filled with worship, learning, fellowship, and a renewed encounter with God, reminding everyone that the true heart of worship is God Himself.
The day began at 9:00 a.m. with registration as members from the New Jersey, Brooklyn, and Maryland/Virginia Chapters arrived, while others from different states joined via Zoom. After months apart, it became a joyous reunion as brothers and sisters greeted one another with warm embraces, joyful conversations, and a delicious Filipino breakfast of pandesal, coffee, and bananas lovingly prepared by the New Jersey Chapter.
The conference officially opened with the singing of The Lord’s Flock Anthem, followed by the prayer of the Ten (10) Core Values. The congregation was then led into a powerful time of joyful praise and worship by the Psalm Ministry, with Bro. Justin Pacquing, Steward of the Maryland/Virginia Chapter, leading everyone into God’s presence.
The much‑awaited teaching began as Sis. Mik Flores, Head Servant of The Lord’s Flock, delivered a timely and Spirit‑filled message on “What Is Worship?”
She reminded everyone that worship has only one audience—God. Worship is never about the worship leader, the musicians, or the congregation. Every song, every prayer, and every act of service should point our hearts back to Him.
Sis. Mik emphasized that worship is a joyful response to God’s goodness, faithfulness, and sovereignty. She reminded the congregation that worship flows from lives surrendered to God.
She exquisitely summarized worship through seven powerful phrases:
- Obsessive admiration
- Utmost reverence and honor
- Passionate devotion
- Absolute surrender
- Willing service
- Unconditional obedience to God and His Word
- Embodied obedience
More than singing songs, worship is a lifestyle—a daily offering of our hearts, minds, and lives to the Lord.
After the morning session, everyone enjoyed a delicious Filipino lunch lovingly prepared by the New Jersey Chapter. The menu featured Laing, Pancit, Chicken Teriyaki, and the ever‑popular Banana Turon. The meal became another opportunity for fellowship.
The afternoon session turned into one of the most engaging and interactive parts of the conference.
Sis. Mik asked a simple yet deeply thought‑provoking question:
“What is the song of your life right now?”
Participants eagerly shared their reflections, with some even expressing their answers through songs. What began as an activity soon became a wonderful moment of testimony, encouragement, and authentic sharing among the attendees. Subsequently, the session emphasized that our lives are songs of worship; whether in moments of joy or seasons of trial, our daily choices should reflect Christ.
The message challenged everyone to remain connected to Jesus, to worship with humble hearts, to offer continual praise, and to remember that God looks not at outward appearances but at the heart. Above all, worship should never draw attention to ourselves but should always point others to Christ.
The final session focused on the role of the Psalm Ministry and the participation of the entire congregation during worship. Moreover, Sis. Mik explained that the Psalm Ministry is not performing for an audience but leading God’s people into His presence. Worship leaders, musicians, choir members, and every participant share the responsibility of creating an atmosphere where God alone is glorified.
An open forum followed, bringing together all members of the Psalm Ministry—from worship leaders to chorus members. It was a meaningful time for questions, feedback, suggestions, and clarifications. Sis. Mik graciously addressed concerns, set clear expectations, and encouraged everyone to continue serving with humility, excellence, unity, and a heart fully devoted to God.
The conference concluded with the celebration of the Anticipated Holy Mass, where members of the New Jersey Chapter participated in what the Catholic Church recognizes as the highest form of worship—the Holy Eucharist.
After Mass, members from the New Jersey, Maryland/Virginia, and Ontario Chapters, along with guests from Michigan and participants joining via Zoom, gathered once again for an evening worship service. Sis. Mik delivered another inspiring message, encouraging everyone to embrace the courage and faith required to take risks for Jesus and to trust Him completely.
The day ended with joyful fellowship over ice cream and crêpes shared by Sis. Mik, Bro. Al, and the leaders of the New Jersey Chapter—a simple yet meaningful conclusion to a day overflowing with God’s grace.
The East Coast Worship Conference left every participant with one unforgettable truth: The heart of worship is none other than God Himself. He alone deserves all the glory, honor, and praise. Yet, true worship begins long before we sing a song. It begins with a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ—a life surrendered to Him, transformed by His love, and lived in joyful obedience every single day.
As John 3:30 reminds us: “He must become greater; I must become less.”
Finally, may our worship never be about us. May every word we speak; every song we sing; every act of service we offer, and every moment of our lives direct the spotlight to Christ alone.
