The month-long 40th Anniversary Celebration of The Lord’s Flock: “Across Generations, Beyond Borders” began on April 5, 2026, with a meaningful Founders’ Day gathering at The Lord’s Flock Heritage. It marked a milestone in the life of the community; it was a moment to remember God’s faithfulness and honor those who have been part of its journey. For four (4) decades, The Lord’s Flock has continued to grow as a community rooted in faith, service, and mission. Members across generations and from all over the world (by zoom) came together in gratitude, carrying with them stories of transformation, commitment, and grace.
Opening of the Exhibit
The program began with the opening of the exhibit, led by Elder-Founders Bro. Bobby “Tatay Bob” Rodriguez and Sis. Techie “Soar” Rodriguez. They were joined by Bishop Emeritus Honesto Ongtioco, Rev. Fr. Rhen Caculitan, Froilan Hong, and several pioneer members of the community. Bishop Ongtioco blessed the exhibit, after which Tatay Bob and Soar led the ribbon cutting. The exhibit was then opened to all attendees. It presented the 40-year journey of The Lord’s Flock; a story of humble beginnings, faithful service, and God’s sustaining grace through the years.

Eucharistic Celebration
Subsequently, the Eucharistic Celebration brought the community into a deeper moment of reflection and thanksgiving. It was offered for the intention of the 40th anniversary, which coincided with the Easter celebration. Bishop Emeritus Honesto Ongtioco presided over the Mass with Fr. Rhen Caculitan as co-celebrant. The liturgy gathered the community in prayer and gratitude; it anchored the entire celebration in Christ, who has remained the source and foundation of its mission. In this sacred moment, members united not only to celebrate a milestone but to offer back to God the years of grace, service, and faithful discipleship He has bestowed upon the community.

Following the Eucharistic Celebration, the Founders’ Day program unfolded as a joyful gathering of the community. Tatay Bob and Soar delivered the opening remarks, setting a tone of gratitude as they reflected on God’s faithfulness through the years. Their message resonated deeply, reminding everyone of the journey they have shared as one family in faith.
Honoring and Recognition
Moreover, an interactive game brought energy to the program, inviting members to recall the year they joined the community. It became a simple yet meaningful moment, as each response reflected a personal story of calling and belonging. Gina Duran and Klent Rimando served as the program’s emcees, guiding the flow with warmth and enthusiasm; their presence kept the atmosphere light, engaging, and connected.

The program continued with a special honoring of the Pioneer members. Each received a certificate and a token of appreciation. Some shared their personal experiences, offering stories of faith, commitment, and service. The First Fruits were also recognized; these were the members who joined the community from 1986 to 1988 through the Catholic Life in the Spirit Seminar (CLSS). The community also presented the Lifetime Servant recognition to Dolly Gueco, Letty Lapuos, and Regina Mendez; all are over 90 years old and have continued to serve the Lord faithfully.

The Founders’ Day has remained dedicated to the Elder-Founders, Tatay Bob and Soar, who have been God’s instruments in building and nurturing the community through the years. Their unwavering faith and obedience have continued to inspire generations of members, shaping the identity and mission of The Lord’s Flock.
In addition, selected members joined them on stage to share heartfelt messages of gratitude and love. Each message reflected a personal encounter with the Founders’ guidance and care, revealing how their lives have been touched and transformed. These tributes created a moment of deep appreciation, as the community honored not only what Tatay Bob and Soar have done, but who they have been in the lives of many.
Similarly, different ministries also offered gifts as a sign of honor and appreciation. These gestures, though simple, carried profound meaning; they expressed unity, respect, and shared a sense of belonging. Together, these moments became a sincere expression of love from a community grateful for the leaders God has entrusted to them.

“We Are Coming Home”
Thereafter, the Koros Ministry presented an inspiring interpretation of A Million Dreams; it captured the heart of the Founders’ vision and the journey they have faithfully embraced through the years. Through music and expression, the performance brought to life the dreams that once began in faith and have since grown into a thriving community. Hence, it has become a powerful reminder of how God has worked through willing hearts to build something far greater than imagined.
This was followed by the presentation of the anniversary theme song, “We Are Coming Home,” composed by longtime member Riccon Leonardo. The song echoed the identity of The Lord’s Flock as a family gathered in God’s love; it spoke of belonging, restoration, and the call to return to Him. As it was introduced, it invited the community to embrace its message, uniting everyone in a spirit of hope and renewed commitment.

To conclude the program, a documentary film titled “The Lord’s Flock 40 Years Journey” was presented. Narrated by Soar, the film accounted the story of the community’s growth and mission through the years. It traced the beginnings of The Lord’s Flock, the challenges it has faced, and the many ways God has faithfully guided its path.
Through personal accounts, memories, and defining moments, the film brought to life a journey marked by faith, sacrifice, and unwavering trust in God. It reflected how the community has continued to grow, not only in number but in purpose and mission. Each scene served as a reminder of God’s grace at work, shaping lives and strengthening the call to serve.
As the film unfolded, it invited everyone to look back with gratitude and to recognize the hand of God in every step of the journey. It has left the community with a renewed sense of identity and a deeper appreciation of the calling they share.
As the celebration ended, a deep sense of gratitude filled the hearts of everyone present. Forty (40) years stood as a testimony to God’s faithfulness; a reminder that every step of the journey has been guided by His hand. More than milestones and memories, The Lord’s Flock has remained a family called and sustained by His love. With renewed faith and quiet confidence, the community looks ahead, trusting that the same God who began this work will continue to lead His people home.
To God be the glory!
