On November 29, 2025, the Single Adults Group under the Pastoral Ministry of the Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community (TLFCC), headed by their Head Stewards, Sis. Grace Pancho and Bro. Jess Medallo held their pre-Christmas outreach activity at the Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly (LSAE) Sta. Theresa Jornet Home located in Blumentrit Street, San Juan City, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sis. Grace Pancho and Sis. Eleanor Valenzuela directly coordinated with the LSAE on behalf of Pastoral Ministry. The Single Adults group was composed of nineteen (19) excited members and was supported by the Kingdom Works Ministry (5 workers), and Communications Group (2 photographers). Their generous hearts brought Christmas cheer to the sisters and the abandoned elderly.
The LSAE is a religious institute of pontifical right whose members profess public vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience and follow the evangelical way of life in common. Members dedicate themselves to the care of the elderly. This religious institute was founded in Barbastro, Spain, in 1872, by Saint Teresa of Jesus, and her collaborator Saturnino López Novoa.
As LSAE’s mission partner, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brought its humanitarian efforts to the Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly (LSAE) last October 12, 2023, by securing a retirement home for the abandoned “lolas” of the LSAE. One of the fundamental beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is to provide genuine service to demonstrate love among the elderly.
Led by the home’s Mother Superior, Sister Sandra Da Silva from Brazil, LSAE serves as a sanctuary to seventy-two (72) residents. The abandoned elderly of the facility were welcomed at the home under various circumstances. Some were left in hospitals; others were rescued from the streets or turned over to the home by their families who can no longer provide care for them. Sis. Sandra is assisted by social workers, caregivers, and other members of her staff in running the place and providing 24/7 monitoring and assistance to support the needs of the elderly residents.

The Lord’s Flock program was emceed by Sis. Ella Valenzuela and Sis. Salve Salvador. Sis. Star Marudo delivered the Welcome Remarks while Sis. Amy Latosa led the solemn recitation of the Opening Prayer.
In addition, the significant event was highlighted with heartfelt songs and individual chat time by the LF participants with the elderly residents. Also, a dance number showcased the talents of two (2) elderlies. A hearty lunch of Jollibee chicken joy, leche flan and macaroni salad was served to the residents who were assisted by the workers.
Finally, Sis. Ella Valenzuela delivered the Closing Remarks. The outreach provided wonderful memories of love and generosity experienced by the abandoned elderly during the Yuletide season, with The Lord’s Flock Community being used by God as His faithful servants.
To God be the glory!
