The Lord’s Flock International Retreat: From Broken to Restored October 3-5 2025, California, USA

The much-anticipated The Lord’s Flock (TLF) International Retreat officially began on October 3, 2025, with the theme “From Broken to Restored.” Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the San Bernardino Mountain ranges, the retreat was held at Forest Home, located at 40,000 Valley of the Falls Drive in Forest Falls, California. Over the course of three grace-filled days, the retreat unfolded as a journey from brokenness to restoration—through heartfelt worship, empowering teachings, and deep communal bonding.

October 3, 2025: First Day: Welcoming all Members

The weather was perfect on this day.  The community members who eagerly opened the registration at 3:00 p.m. were in high spirits.  Members from across the United States and various international chapters were greeted with warm smiles and open arms by the New Generation International team, who joyfully served as greeters. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement—not just from raffle ticket sales happening alongside check-in, but from the joy of reuniting with familiar faces. For many, this was their first in-person gathering since Facing 2025; for others, it was last year’s retreat. It was a heartfelt reunion filled with anticipation.

Adding a personal touch, Sis Michaela “Mik” Flores (TLF Head Servant) graciously assisted at the registration table, welcoming each member with warmth and joy. Laughter, smiles, and kumustahan filled the air, reflecting the unity and love that define the TLF family.

At 6:00 p.m., everyone gathered in Blinco Hall for the opening Huddle. Bro Jimmy Esplanada (Los Angeles Chapter Steward), the evening’s moderator, led a walkthrough of the retreat grounds—including cabins, shops, halls, and key activity areas. Sis Mik introduced the retreat booklet, setting the tone for the days ahead. Sis Malen, a nurse practitioner from the Bakersfield Chapter, was also introduced as the designated First Aid Responder.

Moreover, excitement continued as Sis Joy Molina (Las Vegas Chapter Steward) gave a sneak peek of the raffle prizes awaiting attendees. After the Huddle, everyone headed to the dining hall for a joyful dinner filled with conversation, laughter, and reconnection.

By 8:00 p.m., the group reconvened at Hurtt Hall for the official opening session. The evening began with the singing of the anthem and the recitation of TLF’s 10 Core Values. Bro Jimmy welcomed everyone once more before turning the floor over to the New Gen team, who led a lively icebreaker followed by joyful praise and worship.

A sacred moment followed with the Bible Enthronement Ceremony, inviting everyone to center their hearts and minds on God’s presence for the weekend ahead. The youth then moved to Blinco Hall for their special session. Elder-Founder and Vision Holder Sis Techie “Soar” Rodriguez delivered a deeply moving talk titled “Beauty in Brokenness.” She reminded everyone that “God uses our brokenness as vessels of His grace.” What once felt like failure could become a testimony of transformation and hope. Indeed, it was a Spirit-filled and powerful evening.

Finally, Bro. Jimmy closed the night with important announcements and a reminder about the much-anticipated Cabin Time—a moment for deeper sharing and bonding. Each cabin, led by a designated Cabin Host, began their first gathering. Though some were already feeling sleepy, the excitement was still evident in everyone’s faces as they made their way to their cabins to end the first day.

October 4, 2025:  Second Day:   Beautiful and Uplifting Activities

Members of the Intercessory Ministry began the day with prayers at 7:30 a.m., concluding just before breakfast was served at the camp’s dining hall by 8:30. This day was filled with prayers, talks, reflections, adventure, fun outdoor activities, communion, praise and worship, fellowship, and the signature Jericho March.

Sis. Mik Flores opened the morning session with her talk on “Broken to Restored.” She shared how God could restore what we thought was already lost, referencing the story of the Shunammite’s dead son who came back to life (2 Kings: 4). Restoration is at the heart of God for His people—and He will do it again. God’s timing is always perfect. After the session, participants were given time to reflect, followed by “Cabin Time” sessions where they met in groups to share their thoughts.

The afternoon outdoor experience drew participants to what was beautiful and uplifting. Activities included ziplining, ropes courses, the giant swing, and mini golf. Organized sessions like the “Prayer Walk” and “Arts and Crafts” were both inspiring and relaxing, while the “TikTok Challenge” and “Amazing Grace Race” brought laughter and joy. It was an experience of God’s love expressed through nature, kindness, community, and togetherness.

While the fun activities took place across the camp, Sis Techie Rodriguez led a workshop titled “Aging Gracefully” for members who preferred a more relaxed afternoon. She shared that aging gracefully is a choice—one where beauty can still be found and people can continue to be a gift to others. She also presented the 22 essential attitudes for those living in advanced age.

At 5:00 p.m., the Holy Eucharist (Mass) was celebrated by Fr. Partida of the Archdiocese of San Bernardino. He reflected on the Gospel from Luke 17:5–10, focusing on the theme “Increase Our Faith!” He reminded attendees to take Jesus’ hand in times of trial, as He always desires to restore His sheep.

After Mass, everyone enjoyed a hearty dinner, sharing stories from the day’s events. The final session followed, and Saturday night was capped by the signature Jericho March around the outdoor amphitheater, illuminated by a bonfire at its center. Participants joined in worship, prayer, and anointing by the campfire at Victory Circle. It was a powerful experience of spiritual victory shared with fellow brothers and sisters in the community.

October 5, 2025: Third Day: A Community Restored

The final day of the retreat was on October 5, and the spirit of worship continued to flow with grace and joy. At 6:30 a.m., the New Gen team led a serene sunrise Worship—a peaceful, reflective moment that gently set the tone for the day. Simultaneously, the chapel opened for morning prayer, where attendees experienced a deep sense of calm and the unmistakable presence of God.

By 8:30 a.m., breakfast was served, and the dining hall echoed with laughter, conversations, and joyful greetings. With the retreat nearing its end, every moment felt more precious. Phones and cameras were out— “Picture here, picture there, picture everywhere!”—as everyone tried to capture and preserve the memories of the past few days.

After breakfast, everyone gathered at Hurtt Hall for the final day’s program. The morning began with joyful, worshipful singing that lifted spirits and united hearts once again.

Then came the much-anticipated raffle draw—a fun and exciting new addition to the retreat. A total of 12 prizes were up for grabs, including a Techno Package, Hello Kitty Package, Travel Package, Vacation Package, Movie Night Package, Coffee Barista Set, Spa Vouchers, Cash Prizes, and more. The Sacramento Chapter took home the most prizes, but the joy was shared by all. Beyond the excitement, the raffle held deeper meaning, as its proceeds directly supported Kingdom Works.

Following the raffle, Sis Mik Flores, TLF Head Servant, took a heartfelt moment to express her gratitude. She thanked every servant and volunteer who worked tirelessly alongside her to prepare for the retreat. She also extended warm appreciation to all attendees and invited everyone to join the 2026 International Retreat.

The spiritual highlight of the day was a powerful talk “Thrice broken, thrice restored” delivered by Elder-Founder Sis Techie “Soar” Rodriguez—a stirring marching order for all. Her message called the community to rise with renewed purpose, reminding everyone that healing leads to restoration, and restoration leads to mission.

To conclude the retreat, a joyful photo opportunity brought everyone together—first by chapters, then as one united TLF International family. Smiles, embraces, and group cheers captured the joy and unity of the entire weekend.

Finally, this retreat was truly a time of healing and restoration. Hidden brokenness was brought to light—not with shame, but with hope. God reminded each one that through our brokenness, He restores. His desire is not merely to fix what is broken, but to make it whole again—stronger, deeper, and closer to Him.

To God be the Glory!
