Elder’s Outreach USA, Part 5: Sarnia, Canada Chapter September 26-28, 2025

The outreach team, led by Elder Founder Techie Soar Rodriguez, travelled to Canada to visit the newly formed Sarnia Chapter. She was joined by Outreach Steward Judith Almendrala, along with the couple Joey Molina (Europe Regional Coordinator) and Joy Molina (Elder’s Outreach Coordinator).

Following the fruitful outreach in Dublin, the Sarnia Chapter had the opportunity to receive the Spirit Empowerment Seminar (SES) and the Maturing in the Spirit Seminar (MSS). The community was truly blessed and welcomed all that God had prepared for them through the Elder’s Outreach.

September 25, 2025: Arrival of the Outreach team

The Lord’s Flock Elder Founder Techie “Soar” Rodriguez, with her Outreach team Judith Almendrala, Joey and Joy Molina, flew to Sarnia (Ontario, Canada) on September 25, 2025.  The first leg of flight from LAX to Toronto was delayed and the team were seated at the end part of the plane.  Moreover, when they arrived in Toronto, the distance to the immigration for clearance and the gate for their connecting flight to Ontario was a long one; Joey and Joy Molina alternately pushed Soar’s wheelchair. God is indeed in control as they went through immigration smoothly and they were informed that flight was delayed by an hour due to mechanical issue.

When the outreach team arrived at London, Canada airport, they were warmly welcomed with hugs and flowers by couple stewards Vergel and Jean Bell Valentos (former members of the Dubai Chapter) and Che Santos and Marco Aponte who represented the newly established TLF Sarnia Chapter.

They drove more than an hour to reach Sarnia City where they stopped by McDonalds for food before reaching their hotel.  The mission team were surprised to see so much food and drinks that Sarnia chapter prepared to welcome the team.

The day began with lunch at the Valentos residence, where the team was served delicious food and introduced to Andre—the miracle baby of the Valentos family. Andre had been diagnosed with a tumour, neuroblastoma, on his upper left kidney while still in his mother’s womb, and surgery was expected upon delivery. His parents, Vergel and Jean Valentos, prayed fervently and asked for intercession. A miracle was granted: Andre was born healthy and free from the tumour. Doctors were amazed, unable to find anything wrong with baby Andre, who is now a thriving one-year-old.

After lunch, Soar and the mission team visited St. Benedict Church, where Vergel Valentos introduced them to Fr. Brian Jane, the parish priest. Fr. Brian warmly welcomed The Lord’s Flock group that was highly recommended by the bishop. Then, Soar introduced the chapters in Canada and shared her mission of planting chapters around the world. Moreover, Fr. Brian commended Bro. Vergel, servant leader of the new Sarnia Chapter, for doing a great job. He further expressed joy over the church’s growth (the gathering of people) and the movement of the Spirit. He was especially impressed by the powerful testimonies shared during TLF Sarnia’s anniversary event, particularly from the youth, and expressed interest in featuring them on the church’s website.

Moreover, Soar explained the SES (Spirit Empowerment Seminar), invited the community to continue into the second phase of growth and maturity in their walk with the Lord, and this was followed by the third phase, “Equipping the Saints,” to help them discover God’s will. She further emphasized the power of community, the importance of sharing testimonies, and the role of the youth in church growth, referencing the Araneta experience with young people. She also highlighted the significance of supporting the priest, which Fr. Brian affirmed.

After the meeting, the mission team toured scenic areas of Sarnia, including the Bluewater Bridge—which connects the US and Canada—and Canatara Beach, where they enjoyed the lake view, the shoreline, and the playful geese. A short snack stop at Tim Horton’s provided flatbreads, donuts, wraps, and drinks, while Soar began training the chapter’s servant leaders, Vergel and Jean Valentos.

Back at the hotel lobby, Soar continued the training with support from Joey and Joy Molina. She later discussed chapter concerns and guided the Valentos on how to address each issue. She also began preparing the SES program scheduled for the following day. Midway through the meeting, the Promise Keepers of Manila called for their daily prayer intercession with Soar, and the entire team joined in the session. The evening concluded with further training and a heartfelt consultation between Soar and the Valentos, as she prepared to entrust them to   lead the new TLF Chapter in Sarnia.

September 27, 2025: Spirit Empowerment Seminar (SES)

The first Spirit Empowerment Seminar (SES) of the Sarnia Chapter took place at the church hall of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sarnia, Canada. The seminar attended by more than 25 participants seeking a deeper relationship with God was led by The Lord’s Flock Elder Founder, Techie “Soar” Rodriguez.

The event began with a warm welcome to the participants and seekers, followed by an introduction to The Lord’s Flock community and its Elder Founder, Soar. As most of the seekers regularly attend the weekly services of the TLF Sarnia Chapter, many were excited to see Soar in person for the first time and warmly acknowledged her presence.

Soar shared the Four Basic Truths and later led the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The seminar concluded around 7:00 p.m. with approximately 15 seekers receiving baptism. Each one shared their experience, describing the unique manifestations of the Holy Spirit they felt. Their powerful testimonies affirmed how strongly the Holy Spirit moved that night.

The evening ended with joyful fellowship and the sharing of food. Supporting the seminar were Judith Almedrala (media/audio), Joey Molina (invocation/opening prayer), Joy Molina (moderator), and Dr. Leslie Favenir from the Manila Chapter.

September 28, 2025: Maturing in the Spirit Seminar

The Maturing in the Spirit Seminar (MSS) began at 1:30 p.m., St. Joseph Church Hall in Sarnia, Canada. Most of the participants from the previous Spirit Empowerment Seminar (SES) returned, along with many new attendees. The outreach team, led by the Elder Founder Techie “Soar” Rodriguez, were reintroduced as the new spiritual activity started.

Soar encouraged everyone to maintain a prayer life and keep a journal during her teaching on “Keys to a Powerful Prayer.” She also exhorted about “Faith That Moves Mountains,” emphasizing how to fully trust God, and taught them about the impact of utterances in “Power of the Word.” Moreover, she introduced her book Power of the Word, Manna books, and the Growth Series compilation.

Although the seminar was scheduled to end at 4:00 p.m., Soar was inspired to conduct another Baptism of the Holy Spirit for new seekers around 8:00 p.m. Seven more individuals surrendered their lives to God. The room was filled with joy as the seminar continued with praise songs and dancing.

By 9:00 p.m., pizza was served, followed by more fellowship, photo sessions, and book signing to conclude the event.

September 29, 2025: Leaving Canada

Vergel and Jean Valentos, leaders of the TLF Sarnia Chapter, picked up Elder Founder Techie “Soar” Rodriguez and the mission team early in the morning (6:30 a.m.) for their trip to the airport. Thankfully, the hotel had prepared breakfast in brown bags for guests departing early, making it easy to grab and go.

Then, the mission team flew from London Airport in Canada to Toronto, where they passed through customs once again before catching their short connecting flight back to Los Angeles. During the flight, Soar treated the team to lunch, as all airplane meals needed to be purchased.

Upon arrival in Los Angeles, Soar and Judith Almendrala were picked up by their service car and headed home to Pasadena, while Joey and Joy Molina continued on to another flight bound for Las Vegas.

Finally, the newly planted Sarnia Chapter is growing rapidly, for it is in the capable hands of the inspiring community stewards.

To God be the glory!
