Elders’ Joint Birthday Celebration: “Timeless Faith”

Last August 10, the Lord’s Flock Heritage was filled with excitement, music, and love to celebrate the lives of Tatay Bob and Soar on their 81st and 79th birthdays. Timeless Faith @ 79 & 81 was a tribute to two pillars of faith whose lives continue to inspire generations. It was a TLF festive occasion replete with snippets of memories, laughter and sharing, special honoring, and the book launching of Manna 3.

The celebration began when the Koros Ministry danced to the tune of Today is Your Birthday by The Beatles, leading the celebrants to the stage. Smiles and cheers surrounded them as they shared their birthday wishes before blowing the candle. Then, the moment ended with everyone singing the classic Happy Birthday song.

With spirits high, the Proverbs Band (TLF’s talented singers and instrumentalists) took the stage. Their Era Song Medley filled the hall with music that brought back memories, setting a joyful tone for the rest of the afternoon.

Moreover, Bro. Raymund Nobleza emceed the “What’s in Your Purse” game which had everyone searching through their bags, laughing at the unexpected finds. Thereafter, the winners took home balut as their prize. In the middle of the fun, it was touching to see members carrying their Bible, rosary, and Lord’s Flock ID – symbols of a life anchored in faith.

The laughter continued with “Never Have I Ever” game featuring none other than the celebrants themselves. Their candid answers revealed little-known stories, giving the community a more personal glimpse of who they are.

Honoring the Celebrants

Subsequently, the energy then shifted to a heartwarming mood as an open letter of love and gratitude was presented through a video. Representatives from Small World, NewGen, Young Adults, Singles, Married, Mission, International Chapters, and Execom took turns reading messages for the celebrants; the presentation closed with a touching birthday greeting from Mik Flores (the only child of the celebrants), The Lord’s Flock Head Servant.

With hearts full, the celebration continued with a special honoring led by the Proverbs Band. Each song they played was represented by a group starting from Small World, followed by NewGen, Young Adults, Singles, Married, Mission clusters, and culminating with the Execom and Mancom. One by one, these groups walked the center aisle to greet Tatay Bob and Soar; they came forward with gifts, shared their smiles, and posed for photos with the celebrants. Every song, every embrace, every gesture reflected the deep gratitude and love of a community shaped by their guidance. They also received tokens of appreciation, ballpens marked with Tatay and Soar’s names.

The Execom and Mancom closed the segment with a heartfelt tribute. Representing the leadership teams who have walked closely with Tatay Bob and Soar through the years, they offered a funny song “Kasama Kang Tumanda” which brought the house down with their apt lyrics. It was a testimony of their enduring journey together, not only as leaders but as a spiritual family bound by shared vision and faith. Their presentation echoed the commitment to stand by Tatay Bob and Soar, just as they stood faithfully by the community for decades.

Honoring Tatay Bob and Soar found a beautiful continuation through the NewGen. They came forward with a video greeting and an original song composed by one of their own members. Their tribute carried the voice of the younger generation, showing how the lives of Tatay Bob and Soar continue to inspire not only those who have journeyed with them for years, but also those who will carry the mission forward into the future.

The Sumptuous Meal

The celebration also delighted everyone with a hearty and comforting meal. The Kingdom Works Ministry, led by steward, Baby Salazar, turned food service into an experience of joy; they danced their way down the aisle before gracefully serving each table. Guests were treated to steaming bowls of arroz caldo (lugaw topped with chicken, egg, and tokwa’t baboy)simple yet sumptuous, warm, and filling. It was a feast that brought comfort, laughter, and fellowship to the tables. Every spoonful carried the same love and care that filled the entire celebration.

Launching of Manna 3

A highlight of the celebration was the launching of Manna 3, the latest book by Soar. Just as God provided manna to His people in the desert, this book nourishes the soul and strengthens the spirit through Soar’s insights/reflections during her everyday encounters and situations. It is the third volume in the series, a clear sign that inspiration continues to overflow.

The launch was made possible through the hard work and dedication of the Scribes Ministry, led by Head Servant & head writer, Bro. Froilan Hong, stewards Vera Tuplano and Jo Advincula together with all those who contributed their skills from writing/editing (Chebelle Velasco, Chay Arevalo, Malou Boriga), to book design (Precious Sarimo), photos (Jona Ramos), layout and printing (Dinah Sario). Their collective effort turned Soar’s words into a lasting treasure for the community. It is the continuation of her mission to guide, encourage, and inspire. Thus, Manna 3 stands as another precious gift – one that readers can open at any time, and find wisdom, comfort, and hope.

At the same time, the Grow Digest Vol. 1, creatively led by Rem Sagariano (Scribes International Steward), which was launched last year as a coffee table book, was made available in softbound copies. Sales proceeds of these books will go directly to the Heritage fund.

Finale

In the finale, Tatay Bob and Soar were prompted to sing two songs (“My Love Will See You Through” and “My Way”) to the delight of the audience. The community came together not only to honor 79 and 81 remarkable years but also to affirm a shared journey. This celebration was a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the lasting impact of two lives lived for Him. Tatay Bob and Soar have sown love, nurtured faith, and given themselves tirelessly; in return, they were embraced with music, laughter, and gratitude from a family who holds them dearly. Lastly, as everyone went home with smiles and memories, one truth stood clear: their faith, their love, and their example will remain timeless for generations to come.

To God be the glory!
