On August 17, 2025, The Lord’s Flock (TLF) Heritage Worship and Formation Center held its anointing rites led by The Elders-Founders: Bobby Rodriguez (Tatay Bob) and Sis. Techie (Soar) Rodriguez with the Co- Founder Bro. Froilan Hong. Community members and leaders donned in white outfits eagerly listened to Soar’s message and were consecrated with oil. The anointing rites is an important occasion as it has empowered God’s workers to accomplish their ministry tasks/responsibilities for the Lord for the rest of the year.
Sis. Gina Duran (Steward, Renew Ministry) who delightfully emceed the event called out the various ministries and chapters to cheer to make their presence felt. Thereafter, Sis. Bea Baclig together with the Psalm and Koros Ministries led the congregation into joyful singing and praising the Lord.
Community Updates
A few community updates ensued. Bro. Froilan Hong who presented the financial status of the community summarized the total collections, disbursements and the funds that have been raised for the Heritage phase 2 construction. Bro. Dinky Florentino showed the status of the construction of the upper floors, while Sis. Grace Lomarda presented an update on the 300 Pillars for the Heritage.
Anointing Rites
Soar exhorted God’s message in an unprecedented manner. She quoted “the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few” (Lk. 10:2-3). Moreover, she shared her concern and disappointment about the lack of TLF workers/volunteers in the Spirit Empowerment Seminar (SES). In addition, instead of delivering her teaching, she was inspired by the Holy Spirit to allow God to speak to everyone through a faith-centered film “The Forge.” Particularly, this movie demonstrates God’s message about discipleship and new seekers/converts; integrates the “lost” into the community through love of neighbor and God; and disciples people to bring them closer to God. Hence, Soar emphasized: “God uses people who are created in His image and likeness.
Finally, the anointing rite was preceded by the entrance of the Blessed Sacrament as everyone knelt in prayer. The accompanying song “Here I am, Lord” touched the hearts of many. Tatay Bob and Soar anointed one another, followed by Bro. Froi with the Council of Advisers and the Execom / Mancom. Thereafter, the stewards, leaders and coordinators including the workers of the community were anointed with oil. In the same way, Soar virtually anointed (via Zoom) the International Chapter leaders and members.
Soar concluded the Anointing Day with a heartfelt prayer and thanked the Lord for showing the right way to disciple through the heartwarming movie “The Forge.”.
