The month of August is a celebratory month for The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community. Everyone gets excited to celebrate the birthdays of Elder-Founders Sis. Techie “Soar” Rodriguez on 6th of August and Tatay Bobby Rodriguez on 10th of August. Soar had her own celebration first – a whole day celebration replete with joy, surprises and thanksgiving for a life well-lived dedicated to the community and to God.
On the 6th of August, Soar together with Executive Office/Admin staff started her 79th birthday celebration with breakfast at Ka Tunying. She was feted with lovely flowers and a delish blueberry cheesecake. In addition, she had a special guest, Fr. Rene Silgas of the Assunzione Parish in Rome (TLF Rome’s parish base).
In the afternoon, Fr. Alex Balatbat and Fr. Rene Silgas, who offered birthday prayers for Soar and other August celebrants, officiated a thanksgiving mass.
A simple Salo Salo (get together) held at the lobby, was a sight to behold: a sea of pink! Soar was also surprised by the arrival of some UAE Chapter members led by Sis. Dhes Inong. Soar even went table-hopping where everyone had fun greeting her and taking photos with her.
Subsequently, Soar proceeded with her usual Wednesday Grow Series at 7 p.m. focused on “How to Stay Young and Fruitful All Your Life.” Thereafter, the Execom & Mancom surprised her with a birthday song and a cake.
Indeed, Soar had a wonderful birthday from sunrise to sunset. She is truly blessed to be youthful and fruitful, serving the Lord at 79!
