First Day of Retreat (June 14)
Our beloved Elder Founder Techie “Soar” Rodriguez, assisted by Judith Almendrala (Outreach Steward), conducted a two-day spiritual retreat and “Facing” for the Palma De Mallorca Chapter. It was one of the highlights of the Outreach team’s visit to the Europe chapters to spiritually empower their members. The activity was held on June 14-15 at the Hotel Amic Horizonte where the community anticipated a powerful and enriching spiritual experience.
The first part of the retreat, attended by 30 participants, was held at 7:00 in the evening. It started with an inspiring praise and worship, followed by a very touching topic: “In Relationship.” The participants realized the importance of God’s presence in their lives, amidst unfortunate circumstances/experiences.
When Soar led the prayer, and the song “You Are Mine”was played, the atmosphere became emotional. Many were moved to tears as they felt the deep love of Jesus and their love for one another. It was a powerful reminder that “God is always present” and would never abandon His children. The meeting ended at 11:00 p.m. and the participants eagerly anticipated the second day event.
Second Day of Retreat (June 15)
The retreat started at 12:00 noon at the same location.Our Elder, Tatay Bob Rodriguez, through a video call greeted the Palma Chapter, before Soar started her talk . The members warmly greeted him with a heartfelt “Happy Father’s Day.” It was a touching moment to see and speak with the “Tatay” of our community. Everyone missed his presence, on this special occasion, since he is in the USA.
In line with the topic “I Wanna Hear You Speak,” Soar emphasized our relationship with God as our Father. She reminded everyone that God longed for us to grow deeper in knowing Him through prayer and studying His Word so that we could hear and listen to His voice. The retreat ended with a spirit of reconciliation and love for one another as a community of believers. The activity ended at 7:00 p.m. , and the community was getting ready for the next phase of activity.
FACING (June 15): Hotel Amic Horizonte
Within a short period of time, the Palma de Mallorca chapter prepared (together with the Outreach Team) for another special activity: “Facing 2025.” The atmosphere was light and the night was teeming with joy. Thanks to the inspiring two-day retreat, the appointed leaders opened their hearts to God’s plans and their new leadership roles.
Soar shared the theme: “TRANSITION – to entrust, empower, and support young people and new leaders through obedience to God.” She also reminded everyone to learn from the wisdom of seasoned leaders.
Finally, unity, humility, and teamwork are key. Praise God for this special time of love, sharing, and renewed purpose in serving Jesus!
