The Singles and Young Adults groups of the Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community gathered on May 23, 2025, at the Heritage Events Place. The fun-filled event was entitled “Ka-Vibes, Paano Ba To? (Adulting Edition).”
Charmee Tapiador and Nico Moleta, the moderators, welcomed the participants. After a short joyful singing and prayer led by Mika Concepcion, two ice-breaker games were enjoyed by the seventy (70+) participants.
The main event was facilitated by the Baclig siblings, Regine and Jolo. They encouraged the members to be casual and sit down according to their Small Groupings. Random everyday topics like health, utility bills, engagement etc. were flashed on the screen for the group to discuss.
The members were so involved in sharing their thoughts and experiences that they consistently requested for time extension; they were initially granted but were later denied because they should always finish the task within the prescribed time. After the discussion, they revealed what they had experienced was like Adulting (everything in life): work, bills payment, and deadlines. Moreover, they realized that extended time was an opportunity to seek the Lord’s guidance and to have a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationship with Him.
Finally, they also greeted the April and May birthday celebrants with a “buffet with a twist” – the plates of food they got were served to others. It was a symbolic act of love, friendship and community. It was more than just sustenance, rather a way to connect with others and build relationships.
