The first Spirit Empowerment Seminar: “Empowered Life” for 2025 was conducted on May 17 and 18, 2025 at the Sanctuary of the Lord’s Flock Heritage Spiritual and Formation Center. The two-day seminar aimed to bring people closer to the Lord through teachings about the Gospel and to encourage spiritual renewal through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
May 17, Saturday
On the first day of the seminar, a total of seventy-two (72) participants attended: thirty-two (32) married couples/parents; twenty-four (24) singles; and sixteen (16) youth. Also, children (below 12 years old) had their separate session with the Small World team. The moderator, Gina Atayan (Steward, Service Ministry) cheerfully welcomed everyone while the Psalm Ministry led the joyful singing. Raymund Nobleza (Head Steward, Pastoral Ministry) introduced the charismatic community, its origins, and the significance of praise and worship.
The Community’s Elder-Founder, Techie “Soar” Rodriguez, delivered the highlight of the seminar with the teachings: “Experiencing the Holy Spirit” and “Experiencing the Power of God’s Love.”
Finally, Fr. Arlo Yap capped the afternoon seminar with a powerful topic “Empowerment of the Holy Spirit.”
May 18 – Sunday
On the second day, sixty-three (63) eager participants came: thirty-one (31) married, fifteen (15) singles, and seventeen (17) youth, though some first-day attendees failed to show up on that day; however, newly registered participants were added to the list. All in all, a grand total of forty-nine (49) participants completed the two-day SES seminar.
Raymund Nobleza as the program emcee ably kept the participants focused on the topics. Three (3) TLF seasoned speakers (as enumerated) shared their thought-provoking experiences and spiritual insights on the following topics:
Grace Pancho – “Supernatural Aftermath”
Judith Almendrala – “New Life”
Rose Baclig – “The Power to be Transformed”
Subsequently, Lulu Perele (Heralds Ministry) who (by the grace of God) conducted the Baptism of the Holy Spirit also shared the Empowerment Prayer. Thereafter, some of the participants willingly shared their experiences during the baptism as they felt the presence of the Holy Spirit; some who were weeping pondered on their sins and eventually felt sorry and relieved; others felt the warmth of the Holy Spirit or the wind embracing them — obvious manifestations of the Holy Spirit.
The seminar concluded with a Eucharistic Celebration which was presided by Fr. Richard Soltura, a former Lord’s Flock member during the 1990’s. He was profoundly moved to find his way back to the Community after his recent ordination.
To God be the glory!
