The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community held their Global Anointing last Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Heritage Center. The leaders and members from Metro Manila converged at the Sanctuary, while international and provincial Chapters joined virtually. The program consisted of updates from the various ministries from January to April and culminated with the anointing rites led by Techie “Soar” Rodriguez.
Introduction
Gina Duran (Steward, Service Ministry), program’s emcee, enthusiastically welcomed everyone. Denise Flancia, accompanied by the Psalm and Koros Ministries, led the congregation in giving glory to God through the praise songs.
Community Updates
Raymund Nobleza (Head Steward, Pastoral Ministry) presented the accomplishments and activities of the Scribes, Pastoral, Worship and Mission Ministries. Froilan Hong (Co-Founder) followed with a reporting of the community’s financials and the status of the Heritage building expansion.
Teaching: “Purging Procrastination”
Soar shared an impassioned teaching about procrastination (postponing a task) which is a spiritual issue that is attacking the community. Moreover, it can affect all areas of one’s life and may have destructive consequences. Thus, God wants to deliver everyone from this spirit. There are six (6) ways to purge procrastination:
- Stop making excuses (Proverbs 22:13).
- Ask God for help.
- Master your moods.
- Set a deadline and schedule it (Proverbs 13:16).
- Get an accountability partner (Romans 1:12).
- Start NOW (James 4:17)
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
Rev. Fr. Jojo Soltura held the Blessed Sacrament as he and the lay ministers together with the dancers entered the Sanctuary. Everyone knelt and prayed in silence, giving honor and glory to Lord.
Anointing Rites
Subsequently, Fr. Jojo anointed Soar, Bro. Froi, the Council of Advisers and Execom members. Similarly, the stewards, coordinators, workers and members went on stage to receive their anointing with oil. Then, Fr Jojo finally consecrated the provincial and international members via Zoom.
In addition, a special blessing was also given to Soar and Judith Almendrala (Steward, Elder’s Outreach) who will be leaving for Europe on May 20, 2025, to pay pastoral visits, conduct Facing and/or Spirit Empowerment Seminars in Basingstoke, Rome, Bonn and Palma de Mallorca. Stewards of Europe Chapters, Joey and Joy Molina, will be meeting up with them in Madrid. In June, Soar will be joined in Rome by a group of young, single adults to attend the Global 2033 Summit and Women of Influence Meeting.
Finally, the Anointing Day ended with a spirit-filled song; everyone felt blessed and empowered for the tasks ahead to bring the good news and inspire more people to be closer to God.
To God be the Glory!
