On April 20, 2024, the St. Luke’s Ministry of the Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community conducted a medical mission for the members. Specific blood chemistry tests and ECG (Electrocardiography) were offered at discounted prices in partnership with Dr. Manny Buhat’s Laboratory. Having these diagnostics is important because prevention is better than cure, and early detection of diseases is critical. The Ministry believes “health is wealth” and the Community was thankful for this initiative.
The stewards, Dr. Gilda Geronimo, Dr. Peachy Nobleza and Dr. Leslie Domagas led the Community’s team of doctors and nurses (Dr. Nestor Domagas, Dr. Virgie Chang, Mary Miles, Vangie Alauig, Rubylyn Oliveros, Myrna Limbo, Nelia Avellaneda, Ferdie Gonzalez, Ronald Gonzalez, Otily De Dios, Marilyn Famorcan, Shelms Ventura) in attending to the LF members.
Indeed, it was a success as many TLF members availed of the services: 29 had their ECG’s taken along with certain blood tests, while 42 had their blood chemistry checked. They were happy for the discounted price of up to 50%.
The doctors and nurses were exceedingly jubilant for they had done a very satisfying service for the Community. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; hence, it is His, not our own, so, we must take care of it so we will function fully well. We can do everything if we are in the prime of health (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
