Soar’s 46th Spiritual Birthday Celebration March 22, 2026

Forty-six years ago, on March 22, 1980, Sis. Techie “Soar” Rodriguez turned her back on everything she knew and surrendered her life to Jesus Christ. By saying “YES, Lord!” her life and the life of thousands were transformed.  And so, today, her spiritual children in the Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community wholeheartedly honored and thanked her.

“Soar, we say THANK YOU for the big ‘YES!’

The life you’re giving . . . THANKS for all the hope we’re living,

Who can live without it? We ask in all honesty.

What would life be? Without your viral faith, where would we be?

Soar, we say, THANK YOU for the big ‘YES.’

For giving it to Him…”

  HONORING DURING WORSHIP SERVICE

The celebration for Soar’s 46th spiritual birthday commenced during the Saturday Eucharistic Celebration and Worship Service at the Heritage Formation Center. Fr. Alex Balatbat, who celebrated the mass, gave a special prayer and blessing for Soar to continue to have the physical strength to serve the Lord until her last breath. On the other hand, the congregation held a special honoring for Soar during the Worship Service, which was emceed by Gina Duran and Bernice Agoba. The Execom led the community in greeting her with a flower bouquet, a cake, and a unique song number encapsulating the Community’s gratitude for her viral faith. Bro. Froilan Hong and seven other LF members who have been with Soar for the longest time shared their testimonies about Soar’s life-changing impact on them (Dr. Ghie Geronimo, Lea Beniten, Bebeng Mahilum, Jojie Cruz, Dinah Sario, Judith Almendrala, Lea Tapispisan). Soar became emotional and her tears fell when three youths who had been absent for a while came out to greet her, promising to regularly attend the activities again.

SUNDAY BRUNCH

On Sunday, a cozy brunch was organized by the Special Events Ministry at the Relish restaurant, with about forty (40) guests. It was a casual event which became an impromptu karaoke tribute to Soar as hidden talents were revealed via songs specially chosen to express their love and gratitude to Soar. The gentlemen had the boldness and spontaneously serenaded Soar. Not to be outdone, the sisters also followed with their song and dance renditions.  Soar was obviously delighted and touched with the unscripted expression of love.

Truly, it was a blessed and joyful Sunday – honoring and showering love on a woman of viral faith and a spiritual mother to many.

To God be the glory!
