Lord’s Flock Anointing September 2022

The Lord’s Flock community is committed to serve the Lord in various ministries. In renewing this commitment, leaders and workers are anointed to serve in their respective ministries. With the conduct of the Spirit Empowerment Seminar for the month of September, Anointing Sunday was held on September 25, 2022, at the Heritage Sanctuary. Thus, the TLF Anointing Rite, a monthly religious rite, renews the workers commitment to the community, empowers and fortifies them to continue with their mission of serving God, resulting in an abundance of blessings.

Sis. Gina Atayan, the day’s moderator, welcomed both the participants in the Sanctuary and the TLF’s global chapter members via Zoom. She, then, energized the members and requested them to send a “love and get-well-soon” video message for Sis Techie (SOAR) TLF Elder and Vision Holder. SOAR joined the congregation virtually, as she was recovering from pneumonia at St. Luke’s Medical Center. From her hospital room, SOAR greeted the community through a video call and shared how much she missed serving physically at the Heritage. Moreover, SOAR’s message was of God’s unconditional love for everyone and how God has rejoiced in TLF’s way of worship and prayers. Consequently, the community prayed over SOAR’s speedy recovery and healing.

Moreover, Sis. Dr. Grace Pancho relayed the information that SOAR’s symptoms initially presented an infection of the urinary tract. However, after several tests and interviews with SOAR, Sis. Dr. Grace and Sis. Dr. Marie Regala identified the infection to be pneumonia. Sis Dr. Grace shared that SOAR’s condition could be considered a wake-up call for the community: to have the initiative to act together, to serve and evangelize, to bring people back to the fold, and to willingly serve (without being told) for God’s glory.

In addition, Elder-Founder Bro. Bobby Rodriguez delivered the Anointing exhortation. He reminded the community of the role of anointing in one’s service: that the Lord’s Flock anointing is given to members who will serve at the Lord’s Flock. If everyone promises to serve, the Lord will send a great harvest.

Bro. Bobby shared the following points about anointing through the Holy Spirit:

  1. Anointing equips us with something supernatural, as the power of the Holy Spirit enables us to do mighty deeds. Tithing is an example and a proof that the Lord’s Flock Heritage has been built by faith and generosity despite the greater majority of underprivileged (poor) members.
  2. Anointingcomes with a promise: to empower believers; to give authority above sin (Isa 61:1); and to give power to overcome all that the devil has made (Lk.10:19).
  3. Anointingdestroys the yoke (Isa. 10:27); therefore, as God’s chosen people, we should not suffer from stress, burnout, depression, poverty, or sickness.

As members of the Lord’s Flock community, we have become adopted children into the Kingdom of God, and we have been set apart from others. This anointing enables us to function supernaturally- to do greater works than He did.

He further exhorted: “If we do not serve for the glory of God, we lose the anointing; hence, now is the time to work, to serve together, and to tell the Lord we are ready.”  Bro. Bobby reminded the congregation that everyone is welcome to serve, and the Lord does not need those who say they are complete with gifts. God needs those who obey Him and are willing to serve, and He will equip them; God created us to worship, obey, serve him (Job 36:11; Phil. 4:19; Hag. 2:8).

For the anointing proper, SOAR requested Sis. Angel Angeles to be the worship leader. The Blessed Sacrament was brought into the Sanctuary to be venerated. The workers were each called for their anointing. SOAR prayed and anointed the Lord’s Flock workers both from local and international/global chapters. In addition, she ardently prayed that all workers should use their anointing to serve God wholeheartedly and to bring more souls closer to Him.

Finally, TLF Co-Founder Bro Froilan Hong reported on the Community’s monthly financials and evangelization program. A Spirit Empowerment Seminar (SES) was held on September 24 and 25, 2022: there were 160 seekers, with a representation across demographics (56 Married Couples/Parents, 84 Singles, and 20 Youth/New Gen). Further, Bro. Froi shared the Heritage construction update: a roof deck and two conference halls with retractable partition have been done. He ended his financial report with an exhortation that “God loves a cheerful giver,” (2 Cor
9:8), reminding all members that the Lord’s Flock is a GIVING COMMUNITY.

After the Anointing Rite, everyone in the Sanctuary left energized (with the fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit) ready to fulfill their spiritual mission for the Lord.

To God be the Glory!

VERSE FOR THE DAY
