Once again, the leaders and members of The Lord’s Flock – Hong Kong International (Notre Dame, St. Anthony, Holy Family Saturday and Sunday, St. Alfred, and Sts. Peter and Paul Chapters) encountered the wonder of God’s grace in an extra-meaningful way as they came together at Notre Dame Hall on 25 May 2026. One hundred forty-three TLF members and guests delightfully welcomed Elder-Founder-Vision Holder Sis Techie “Soar” Rodriguez and co-founder Bro. Froilan L. Hong, their companions, Bro Mel Capistrano and Sis. Jenny Mirasol, for the Commissioning Rites for new TLF members.
INTRODUCTION
The one-day gathering was facilitated by Thess Manongsong (Notre Dame Chapter). With the love of the Lord, she exuberantly welcomed all the members and guests, and afterwards, led them to a short prayer. This was followed by a heartfelt praise and w orship led by Mary Ann Consejo (Notre Dame Chapter). Subsequently, witnessing and sharing of personal faith by Soar, Bro. Froi and select members ensued.
COMMISSIONING PROPER
Soar began the ceremony by calling all the Chapter Stewards, Coordinators, and Small Group Leaders to join her in front for their consecration and anointing. They were enjoined to re-commit themselves to take care of the flock entrusted to them, motivated by a sincere desire to assist them in their spiritual growth.
Thereafter, the fifty-nine (59) candidates, who had completed the Spirit Empowerment Seminar, the Maturing in the Spirit Seminar, and the Equipping the Saints Seminar, were called one by one. Each candidate stood in front of Soar and Bro. Froi and pledged to be the “light of the world” and “salt of the earth” and to actively live their faith (Matthew 5:13-16). They were all welcomed and received with love and accepted as members of TLF community.

UPDATES ON HERITAGE CONSTRUCTION
After a hearty community lunch, Bro. Froi and Bro. Mel Capistrano enthusiastically shared their testimonies on how giving the first 10% of their income has transformed their spiritual lives, deepened their faith, and led to unexpected provision and greater sense of stewardship over their resources. Bro. Froi also provided a progress report on the Heritage construction’s remaining three (3 storeys), while Soar gave an update on the fundraising efforts for the construction. She exhorted that giving should be a joyful, personal decision rather than an obligation; the attitude behind the gift matters more to God than the amount (2 Corinthians 9:7).

ELDER’S TEACHING
Subsequently, Soar gave a talk about “Hell–Shaking Prayer” which emphasizes the power of fervent prayer, and the importance of seeking God’s face and repentance of sin to experience His cleansing and restoration (Psalm 66:18). Soar likewise encouraged the congregation to be wholly dependent upon God, and to completely abide in Him (John 15:7).

MOTHER’S DAY HONORING
The stewards and members capped off the successful gathering with a simple yet delightful honoring of Soar as a belated celebration of Mother’s day. A sash with an inscription “You Are A Gift” was draped across Soar’s chest. She was then presented with a bouquet of flowers, cake, and tokens/gifts. Finally, she was serenaded by the community with a song entitled “Gift from Heaven.” Soar was so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and honoring that she was teary-eyed as she expressed her gratitude and love for the Hong Kong Chapter leaders and members.

Indeed, the Lord’s Flock Hong Kong Chapter members were blessed and thrilled to have had a spirit-filled teaching and commissioning rites with their most esteemed Elder, Soar.

To God be the glory!
