Elder’s Mission USA Part 5A: Arrival on the East Coast, New Jersey, March 14-15, 2024

March 14: Arrival in New Jersey

The Lord’s Flock (TLF) Elder-Founder, Sis. Techie “Soar” Rodriguez, along with Judith Almendrala (SERVE Ministry), and Ted Torres (SEND Ministry), arrived in New Jersey on March 14, Thursday, around 7 PM Eastern Time via United Airlines. Soar’s visit was dedicated to visiting the East Coast Chapters and leading the Facing 2024 celebration for the New Jersey, Brooklyn, and Virginia Chapters.

Upon arrival, Soar and the mission team received warm greetings, hugs, and smiles from the New Jersey Chapter, led by the Stewards Avel Dela Peña, Vee Subol, and Nenette Catbagan. Also present were Danny Catbagan, Emma Ayuso, Krishy Ong, Glynna Campo, and Mervik Ong.

After the warm welcome, they proceeded to Noches De Colombia for dinner, where they enjoyed the company of each other amidst the melodious tunes of a Colombian singer. It was an enjoyable evening filled with good food and camaraderie.

Thereafter, Soar and the mission team were escorted to their hotel. They were pleasantly surprised by the special events coordinator who had decorated the space with a welcome banner and pictures of Soar and her team. Soar was really touched by this thoughtful and heartwarming gesture.

March 15: Prayer and Recreation

Their second day in the city was a tranquil day for Soar and her mission team. In the morning, Soar led a beautiful and powerful prayer accompanied by worship songs before leaving the hotel. They were joined by couple Krishy and Mervik at Jersey Mills Gardens for a shopping excursion near Jersey City.

Nenette, Vee, Emma, and Glynna joined them for a delightful lunch at the famed Cheesecake Factory in Newport Mall. Everyone savored the dishes while sharing stories and updates. The occasion was made even more special with the celebration of Vee’s anniversary and Krishy’s upcoming birthday. The group surprised the celebrants with two delicious cakes while they cheerfully sang “Happy Birthday” and “Happy Anniversary.” It created a memorable moment of joy and celebration.

Soar truly felt the warm welcome and fellowship during her first two days in New Jersey and was excited to meet all the Chapter leaders and members for the reveal of the 2024 theme and the appointment of the stewards and leaders.

To God be the Glory!
