The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy” (Psalm 126:3, NIV).
Members and leaders from the Bakersfield and Los Angeles Chapters of The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community joyfully celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the Community’s founding last Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Marina Park, 2950 Pierpoint Blvd. Ventura, California, USA. The gathering brought together old members, family members, friends, and the new generation of the community for a day filled with faith, fellowship, and thanksgiving. It started at 10:00 a.m. up to 4:00 p.m. Inspired by Psalm 133:1, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity,” the celebration reflected

the strong bond and enduring spirit of the community through four decades of service to God.
The program began with an opening prayer by Sis. Monia Letargo, followed by welcome remarks of Sis. Marilyn Santos, Bro. Gerard Parayno, Sis. Janice Daigan, (Stewards of Bakersfield Chapter), Sis. Monina Letargo, Sis. Efleda Lavilla, and Jimmy Esplanada (Stewards of Los Angeles Chapter). Praise and worship uplifted everyone’s hearts as members thanked God for His faithfulness through trials and triumphs over the years. Acknowledgements and photo opportunities allowed old friends and longtime members to reconnect and reminisce about the early years of the ministry. One of the highlights of the event was the overflowing food and fellowship, especially the much-awaited crab feast, which had been preordered in advance. The community considered the beautiful weather another answered prayer, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the beachside celebration and outdoor activities.
The afternoon continued with trivia games, fun activities, laughter, and joyful fellowship among all generations. The members added energy and excitement with modern dances

and TikTok performances, showing how the mission and spirit of the community continue to live on in the next generation. Many participants described the event as a “small world reunion,” where old connections were renewed and new friendships were formed.

As the celebration ended, members expressed gratitude to God for guiding, strengthening, and sustaining the community for 40 years, praying for more years of unity, evangelization, and service ahead.
