The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community’s “Single Adults” group held an Ingathering with the topic “State of life” at the Pastoral Lobby last February 28, 2026. State of Life is a prayerful process of discovering where one seeks to align the deepest desires with God’s purpose in mind and the intention to serve Him out of love and true devotion.
Moderators Ezekiel Almodiel and Meg Abesamis welcomed the attendees while Ella Valenzuela led the praise song with Sis. Jac Guerra reciting the opening prayer. Sis. Lulu Perele (Heralds Ministry) exhorted that everyone is called to happiness. Moreover, she mentioned that there are two types of vocation: natural and supernatural. Natural vocation is a simple inclination given by God which makes the individual tend toward a certain profession. On the other hand, supernatural vocation is the “calling” that God directs to a soul for his eternal salvation…the call to faith, to grace, and to paradise.

Discerning or entering our state of life is not a magical term; it isn’t what we claim – it is what God gives us (1 John 4:16). We ourselves know and believe the love which God has for us. Indeed, God is love, and those who live in love live in union with Him. Hence, the possession of all other virtues, no matter how heroic, will not make us perfect unless the virtues are practiced for the love of God.

Moreover, it was also a post-Valentine celebration with the theme “Feb-Ibig.” Likewise, in dealing with our present state of life, we should accept being single peacefully. Being single also means spending time and resources serving God.

Further, Sis. Amy Latosa led the closing prayer. Followed by photo opportunity, the members shared a delicious meal and unlimited coffee “Kopiko” and “Wow Carbonara” sponsored by the generous Bro. Lui Lico.

Indeed, the best place to be is where God wants us to be.
To GOD be the Glory!
