Women’s Conference: ARISE (1 of 2 articles) | July 27, 2025

Arise, women of God!” On July 27, 2025, The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community conducted a Women’s Conference at The Lord’s Flock Heritage for all women. The event, themed “Arise from your past, Arise in your present, Arise to your future, “underscored the value of women who persist to arise with the light of God as they travel in the path of life.

The event commenced at 12 p.m. with a spirit-lively greeting from the moderators, Sis. Kishy Ong and Sis. Emma Espina, followed by a Word Game activity, where players formed words about what women are all about. The spirit of the Lord then conquered the sanctuary with uplifting songs, as the worship team led by Sis. Raffy Flancia, together with the Dance Ministry, praised and worshiped God.

Session 1: Arise from Your Past

In the afternoon, Sister Mik Flores led the first session, “Arise from Your Past.” She alluded about her unused pile of clothes that “she couldn’t let go of” as a metaphor for the importance of letting go in order to move forward.

She also included that the enemy wanted us to define who we are as individuals, and that we should let go of the world’s opinion to embrace our identity in God’s eyes. She explained that the enemy also led us to believe that “we are our mistakes”; however, mistakes do not define our identity. God sees us not as mistakes, but with love. Additionally, the world insists we are not enough, but we are more than enough because Jesus is sufficient; we are loved and valued by our Father in heaven.

The first session concluded with a powerful verse:

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland” (Isaiah 43:18-19).

Sister Mik Flores and the worship team then closed the session with a powerful prayer.

Session 2: Arise Today

During Session 2, the Elder-Founder, Sis. Techie “Soar” Rodriguez presented two houses built with the same materials and structure but different foundations. One was built on sand, and the other on stone. During an earthquake, the house built on sand began to sink, while the house built on stone remained firm. She used this as a metaphor to highlight four points that keep us from standing on the firm foundation: Comparison Trap, Complacency, Distractions, and Waiting ‘Til Our Circumstances Are Right.

For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:11).

To encourage reflection and foster spiritual connection, several breakout sessions were available for all women of the Lord. These sessions, which included “Arise to Savor,” “Arise to Unwind,” “Arise to Sip,” “Arise to Worship,” “Arise to Pray,” “Arise to Shine,” “Arise to Create,” “Arise to Play,” and “Arise to Craft, “offered various stations for exploration and communication.

These breakout sessions provided an opportunity for the women to share their light with one another, showcasing the beauty God bestowed upon them while exploring the stations.

Session 3: Arise To Your Future

Sis. Mik Flores delivered her talk by metaphorically referring to phones. She explained that as individuals, we should plug ourselves into the right power source because no one else can do it for us. We might think we have already been fueled since we have been serving and hearing God’s word, but a half-full phone battery can still run low and drain. Hence, we should recharge fully. We don’t have to be perfect, but we should be a light to others. She also emphasized that if we are not directly and fully connected to God, we cannot survive.

The last session ended with a powerful verse:

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden” (Mt. 5:14).

After all the sessions, raffle prizes were prepared for all the women present, with many prizes given to each.

The Women’s Conference event concluded with a holy mass, bringing everyone together as one holy fire united in the Lord. Although the event ended, the journey of “arising from your past, arising in the present, and arising to the future” continues to fulfill in their hearts and minds, arising with the light of the Lord in their journey towards life.

Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you” (Isaiah 60:1-3).

To God be the glory!

VERSE FOR THE DAY

so that it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. This life that I live now, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave his life for me.
