On October 12, 2024, the Touch Ministry (TM) of The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community implemented another heartfelt outreach program at the Dialysis Section of National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) located in East Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. This initiative included hospital visitation, pray-over and counseling for the patients.
In preparation for the outreach, TM Steward Ronnie Ongteco ensured that all the necessary identification and documentation requirements of participating members were submitted to NKTI, to ensure a safe and meaningful activity.
On the morning of October 12, the group gathered at the NKTI Catholic Chapel where Ronnie led the binding and empowerment prayers to unite the seven (7) commissioned members of the Touch Ministry and seven (7) new members from Harvest 4. They prayed for God’s guidance to strengthen and protect them as they interceded for the patients.
Following the spiritual formation, the group proceeded to the Dialysis Section where they engaged with and offered prayers for ten (10) patients. Each of the patients conveyed deep appreciation for the ministry’s presence and prayers. They especially sought God’s divine healing, claiming that “prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well … the Lord will raise them up” (James 5:15). Together with the TM members, the patients earnestly prayed for God’s grace to permeate their bodies. Full of trust in Him, they hoped for a complete and swift recovery. They relied on the Lord’s declaration in Jeremiah 30:17, “For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal.”
Members of The Lord’s Flock Touch Ministry expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to witness the gracious healing of Jesus once again in the lives of the NKTI patients. As the outreach ended with the cleansing prayer, the members left the institution with joy in their hearts, feeling grateful for the opportunity to serve – echoing the sentiment of Psalm 126:3, “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”
Overall, this outreach program served not only to deliver prayers but also to bring hope and comfort; it reinforced the belief that God’s love and healing power are ever-present in our times of need.
To God be the glory!
