The Lords Flock Catholic Charismatic Community (TLFCCC) in the UAE continued their “marriage journey” through participation in the 2nd part series of the Beloved Program: Living in Marriage last Jan 24- Feb 15 2025 via Zoom. The Beloved program, produced by Formed.org, aims to strengthen and renew the bond between married couples through faith-based teachings. Bro. Rem and Sis Janette Sagarino conducted the transformative Beloved program that left a lasting impact on twenty participating couples. Moreover, the Cana Ministry believes the “marriage journey” requires nurture, understanding and a profound connection.
The program discussed relevant marriage topics detailed into six enriching sessions, designed to explore different facets of a strong and faith-centred marriage:
- Christ at the Centre: Emphasizing the importance of placing Christ at the heart of the marriage.
- A Deeper Unity: Encouraging couples to deepen their unity and connection.
- Conflict and Communications: Providing tools to navigate conflicts and enhance communication.
- Building a Thriving Marriage: Offering insights on nurturing a flourishing relationship.
- Protecting the Bond: Discussing ways to safeguard the marital bond.
- Sexuality and Authentic Love: Exploring the beauty of sexuality within the context of authentic love.
Personal Testimonies and Emotional Impact
The program was an opportunity for learning and a platform for couples to share their personal testimonies. Many couples expressed how the Beloved program had deepened their understanding of each other and had brought them closer to God. One couple shared, “This program reignited the spark in our marriage and reminded us of the importance of keeping Christ at the centre of our relationship.” Though the meetings were via Zoom every Friday 8:30pm to 10:00pm for practical reasons, the emotional impact was palpable, with participants moved to tears during the sessions. Hence, the shared experiences and collective journey fostered a sense of community among the couples.
Program Culmination & Ministry Fellowship
The recent Beloved program hosted by Cana Ministry coordinators, Bro. Rem & Sis Janette, was attended by twenty enthusiastic couples. The fellowship was filled with interactive activities, including games, dances, and heartfelt speeches, creating an atmosphere of joy, laughter and camaraderie. Certificates and tokens of appreciation were awarded to the participants, celebrating their commitment to strengthening their marriages. In addition, those who testified using social media were awarded (six gifts) for their creative and impactful contributions.
A memorable wine-toasting and cake cutting ceremony was also held, symbolizing the celebration of love and unity. This delightful moment brought all the couples together, creating lasting memories of joy and togetherness.
Marriage Renewal of Vows
The pinnacle of the Beloved program was the Marriage Renewal of Vows ceremony. In a deeply moving moment, couples renewed their vows, reaffirming their commitment to each other. The ceremony included the blessing of the rings and blessings from the priest, symbolizing the sanctity and enduring nature of their union.
Participants’ Testimonies
Indeed, the program became a platform and opportunity for couples to learn and to share their personal testimonies. They exhorted how the Beloved program had deepened their understanding of each other and had brought them closer to God. One couple shared, “This program reignited the spark in our marriage and reminded us of keeping Christ at the centre of our relationship.” The intense emotional impact moved the participants to tears during the sessions. Hence, the shared experiences and collective journey fostered a sense of community and support among the couples.
The Beloved program proved to be a transformative experience for the couples who participated. By placing Christ at the centre and exploring the various dimensions of marriage, the program strengthened bonds, rekindled love, and fostered a deeper connection between partners. Truly, the success of this program is a testament to the power of faith in enriching the sacred institution of marriage within the community.
