On February 16, the Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community came together to honor a timeless tradition—one that celebrates the enduring beauty of love and commitment. Under the theme “Time After Time,” married couples gathered to renew their vows, reaffirm their devotion and faith in each other and in God.
Registration
The enthusiastic couples began arriving before 2PM at the Heritage Center. Upon registration, each couple was invited to capture this memorable occasion at the photo booth. With warm smiles and joyful anticipation, the host ministry guided the sixty-six couples (including 10 guest couples) to take their seats in the Sanctuary.
The Renewal of Marriage Vows
The mass, a serene and reverent celebration, was officiated by Rev. Fr. Rhen Caculitan from the Parish of St. Jude Thaddeus-Quasi Parish. To replicate the familiar notes of their wedding marches, the couples entered the sanctuary in a nostalgic procession. This set the tone for a heartfelt celebration of renewed love and lifelong commitment.
The highlight of the ceremony was the lighting of the unity candle by Raymund and Peachy Nobleza, symbolizing the shared light of every couple’s union. Ryan and Marie Regala led the recitation of the Renewal of Marriage Vows commitment, which emphasized the sacred bond between husband and wife. In a deeply personal touch, Fr. Rhen moved among the couples to bless each pair’s wedding rings—the tangible symbol of their enduring love. The ceremony was graced by the participation of Tatay Bobby and Techie “Soar” Rodriguez, the Elders-Founders of The Lord’s Flock who are truly blessed to be celebrating their 55 years of marriage.
The Reception
The celebration transitioned to the Events Place for a lively reception. The celebrants were welcomed at the entrance by a beautifully designed arch of red and white balloon arrangements, perfect for memorable photos. Mike and Leo Concepcion energetically emceed the program and set a joyful tone for the festivities.
The reception featured several special moments: couples were recognized based on the duration of their marriage—grouped as 10 years and below, 11-20 years, 21-30 years, 31-40 years, and 41-50+ years. The silver celebrants (25 years) and golden celebrants (50 years) were honored for the longevity and strength of their unions.
A guest couple, Ronnel and Swiza Agulto, whose wedding anniversary falls on the day itself, led the cake-cutting and wine-toasting ceremony. The other couples joined them to share the sweetness of renewed love. Thereafter, they feasted on a sumptuous array of grazing snacks.
Moreover, entertainment numbers made the event more memorable. The Concepcion family band filled the venue with melodious tunes. Mike and Leo Concepcion performed a surprise dance number and invited everyone to join. Lastly, the organizing committee captivated the audience with a medley of love songs, “Ikaw” and “Kailangan Kita” as their tribute to enduring love.
Adding to the emotional depth of the reception, guest couple Romeo and Teresita Parreño, who were celebrating fifty-one (51) years of marriage, shared valuable insights for a successful marriage. They emphasized the importance of keeping God at the center of their union. Romeo surprised his wife with a rendition of “Nang Dahil sa Pag-ibig.”
The event closed with heartfelt messages from Pastoral Head Stewards Elvie Tapia, Ryan and Marie Regala. The celebration continued with dancing and jamming with the band.
The renewal of marriage vows is a reminder of the timeless commitment that binds hearts together. Today’s ceremony was more than a ritual—it was a heartfelt reaffirmation of love, faith, and togetherness. Each vow stands as a testament to the strength and resilience of the bond between husband and wife. With God at the center of marriage, every challenge becomes surmountable, every joy is magnified, and every promise is sanctified. May this renewed promise guide everyone through every season of life with hope, joy, and unwavering devotion.
To God be the glory!
