The Lord’s Flock Pastor CANA, a ministry dedicated to fostering strong relationships among married couples, held a successful Summer Fellowship on June 23 at the Xavierville Clubhouse in Quezon City. This fellowship aimed to deepen the interpersonal relationships among ministry members from different small groups by engaging them in various group activities.
The fellowship kicked-off with a delightful breakfast session where members shared a variety of dishes they had brought. This communal meal set the tone for a day filled with bonding and camaraderie.
To get everyone energized, Lito Santelices, one of the Stewards of Pastor CANA, led a Zumba dance session set to a medley of 80’s dance hits. The lively dance moves and nostalgic tunes brought a vibrant start to the morning.
Subsequently, everyone excitedly joined a number of games. To start the ball rolling, Lui and Jane Loco facilitated the “Name The Song” game. Six pairs of players competed to guess song titles based on lyrics. The game sparked friendly competition and laughter, adding to the event’s joyful atmosphere. Next, Jong Gaviola, another Steward of the Pastor CANA Ministry, led the “Pass the Message” game. Two groups of ten members each participated, which showcased the humorous twists that messages underwent as they were passed along the line; this emphasized the challenges of effective communication in a fun way.
Lastly, the classic game of charades took on a unique twist under Jong’s direction. Teams acted out difficult phrases like “relyenong dilis” and “pinaupong ostrich.” They demonstrated creativity and teamwork and elicited much laughter as they successfully conveyed the challenging messages.
After their energies were zapped, they shared a hearty lunch together. This meal provided an excellent opportunity for sharing stories and catching up, thus strengthening the bonds within the community.
The Summer Fellowship by Pastor CANA Ministry was a resounding success! It achieved its goal of fostering deeper interpersonal relationships among members through engaging and enjoyable activities. Such events are crucial in building a supportive and united community, and this fellowship exemplified the spirit of togetherness and mutual encouragement that Pastor CANA stands for.
To God be the Glory!
