On October 29, 2024, after 16 hours of a turbulent journey from the Philippines, Sis. Techie “Soar” Rodriguez, Elder-Founder of the Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community, Bro. Froilan Hong, Co-Founder, Alma Torres, and Mel Capistrano arrived safely at Tom Bradley International Airport in Los Angeles, California, USA. They were excitedly welcomed by Joy Molina, Steward of Las Vegas Chapter, Monina Letargo and Jimmy Esplanada, Stewards of Los Angeles Chapter, together with Efleda Lavilla, Evelyn Nuval and Winnie Palanca. Soar was given balloons and flowers as a gesture of their love for her. LA was the first stop of Soar and the Mission team’s month-long visit in the U.S.A. to visit the Chapters and conduct the Lord’s Flock Annual International Retreat on November 9-10, 2024.
From the airplane, Soar and Bro. Froi were accompanied by three ground staff members, and one was a Filipina Manager of Philippine Airlines – Mary Ann Go. Soar shared her faith experience with her while on the way to the arrival area. They exchanged numbers so that they could continue to communicate. Indeed, Soar makes the most of her time to share the love of God with the people she meets wherever she goes.
From the airport, they proceeded to the residence of Joey and Joy Molina in Glendale, where the mission team will stay for the rest of the trip. There was a short and sweet fellowship while sharing “In-N-Out” hamburgers, one of Soar’s favorites.
Soar will visit the various Chapters of the Lord’s Flock in the West Coast and deliver a series of teachings. There will be a Spirit Empowerment Seminar in Bakersfield on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Subsequently, they will travel to Las Vegas for the two-day Annual International Retreat on November 9-10, which will be attended by all the Chapters.
Soar and Bro. Froi reminded everyone to constantly encourage and pray for one another, and to remain faithful. “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
To God be the glory!
