Sis Maro Anyog
After a well-attended and successful Spirit Empowerment Seminar (SES) on February 25 and 26, 2023, a Maturing in the Spirit Seminar (MSS) took place on March 4 and 5, 2023, from 12nn up to 5 p.m. at the Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community (TLFCC) Sanctuary. The MSS is a continuation of the SES which detailed topics that would further uplift their spiritual transformation/journey: renewal of the mind, faith, obedience & triumphs amidst trials.
Initially, the Psalm Ministry led the praise and worship followed by an opening prayer by Sis May Barcita, Chapter Steward of TLF East. The zestful moderator Sis May Barcita requested seven of the participants to share their experiences during the SES Baptism in the Spirit. Moreover, Sis Vivian Ortega narrated her victorious experiences with the Power of Prayer when her daughter in the US was healed, her grandson survived a car accident unscathed, and the peace she had when her mother died whom she left behind when she traveled to the US. She testified that prayers can move mountains. Lastly, Bro Froilan Hong shared his life testimony from being a student to a successful architect and how he was miraculously and completely healed by God of stage 4 prostate cancer.
Our Elder-Founder Sis. Techie Rodriguez was the sole speaker assigned on the first day of the MSS. She demonstrated how we could be guided by our five fingers: how and whom to pray for. She then explained the principles of prayer and the three different ways in which God answers our prayers: yes, no, wait, and not my ways. Sis. Techie preached in detail the “Keys to Powerful Prayer.”
The second day of the MSS was held at the TLF Heritage lobby. The moderator, Sis Camille Lee, warmly welcomed the participants. The activity started with praise and worship led by Sis Daphne Tapia and the Psalm Ministry followed by an opening prayer by Sis Camille.
There were powerful and spirit-filled speakers assigned to discuss four topics:
- Froilan Hong (TLF Co-founder and Head Steward of the EQUIP Ministry) explained in detail with the help of illustrations the “Renewal of the Mind. “
- Techie Rodriguez (Elder-Founder), a woman of great faith, shared her life’s spiritual journey as she preached the topic of “Faith that Moves Mountains.”
- Allan Almendrala (Head Steward of SEND Ministry) related his humble beginnings and career success to his topic on “Life of Obedience.”
- Nol Sioson (Steward of Brethren-SEND), who discussed “Turning Trials into Triumph” was the last but not the least speaker.
After the last speaker, Sis Camille led the closing prayer and later reminded the participants to continue their spiritual journey with the Lord by attending the next and last seminar on “Equipping the Saints” scheduled on March 11 and 12, 2023.
