Maryland/Virginia, USA Chapter | Thanksgiving Celebration

On September 14, 2025, The Lord’s Flock Maryland/Virginia Chapter Flock celebrated an amazing milestone with a Thanksgiving Celebration at their newly granted venue—St. Philip the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on Henderson Way in Camp Springs, Maryland. It was more than just a celebration of a new space because the gathering served as a powerful testimony to God’s faithfulness and answered prayers.

The event opened with a 10:00 a.m. Holy Mass led by Fr. Ryan Pineda in celebration of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. He exhorted about God’s unconditional love and encouraged everyone to trust in His response to our prayers. Fr. Ryan warmly welcomed The Lord’s Flock and invited other parishioners to join the gathering after Mass.

At 11:30 a.m., the program officially commenced. Guests were welcomed by Sis. Flor Valdez, one of the Maryland/Virginia stewards. The atmosphere quickly turned into joy as Bro. Johannes Impat led the community in praise and worship, while Sis. Angie Impat and Sis. Krishy Gayatao-Ong energized the crowd with lively praise dancing.

Following the worship, Sis. Flor introduced The Lord’s Flock community by presenting TLF Primer, leading everyone in singing the TLF Anthem, and giving first-time attendees a glimpse of TLF—a Christ-centred filled community.

One of the highlights of the day was a powerful talk on the theme of “Waiting,” delivered by Sis. Mik Flores (TLF Head Servant). Drawing from Daniel 10, she reminded everyone that God hears our prayers from the very first moment we speak them. From the very first day Daniel prayed, God heard him; He was not absent, it was part of His divine plan. Moreover, she shared, “You are precious in My sight, so don’t be afraid.” Her message encouraged everyone to remain steadfast and faith-filled during seasons of waiting, trusting that God has never been silent and has been working behind the scenes for our good.

After the message, everyone shared a bountiful meal, enjoying not only physical nourishment but also the joy of fellowship. During lunch, our beloved Sis. Techie “Soar” Rodriguez (Elder-Founder) delivered a heartfelt message, encouraging the community to remember their call to serve and make disciples of nations. She emphasized the importance of using Worship Services as a tool for evangelization, submitting to the authority of the Church, and continuing to love and serve one another faithfully.

The celebration concluded with a joyful praise song, “I Thank God,” where everyone sang and danced with grateful hearts. It was a truly Spirit-filled day! A day where the community was fed spiritually and physically, surrounded by God’s presence and the warmth of fellowship. The event officially ended at 2:30 p.m., but the joy lingers on. Indeed, it was a blessed day for everyone present.

To God be the Glory!

VERSE FOR THE DAY

so that it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. This life that I live now, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave his life for me.
