The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community held its first Global Anointing for 2024 on January 28. The anointing of workers is a regular spiritual event in The Community to consecrate all workers to help them fulfill God’s work and conform to His divine plan through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Both local/provincial (at the Sanctuary) and international chapters (through Zoom) attended and were eager to be consecrated for service. The ceremony commenced with a resounding Praise and Worship led by Bea Baclig and the Psalm Ministry. Gina Duran, the moderator, welcomed all local and international participants. Bro. Froilan Hong (Co-founder of TLF) enumerated the details of the Community’s financial status. He encouraged the members to support the Heritage construction.
Sis Techie “Soar” Rodriguez (Elder-Founder) reiterated the importance of the anointing ceremony:
1) To dedicate all the things that are used in the temple/sanctuary (Deut. 8, Exo.30:25).
2) Consecration of the Priest (Lev.8:10-13).
3) Consecration of Kings (1 Sam 10:1)
4) Anointing of the members so that the gifts given by God will be empowered.
5) Prophets were anointed (Ps. 105:15)
6)The spirit of the Lord will be in everyone if anointed (Isa.10:27).
Subsequently, the highlight of the ceremony was the anointing of the workers with oil on the forehead. Soar highlighted the power of the Holy Spirit that was given to her. She recalled the times when she was laying her hands and many were slayed in the spirit like a “domino effect.” She asked the members who witnessed those events to come up on the stage to share their experiences: Rose Baclig, Vivian Ortega, Allan & Judith Almendrala, Dinky Florentino, Leah Mariano, Benjie Rogel.
Thereafter, Soar called Aileen Francisco (high school teacher) and Helen Grace Vicencio (retired Guidance Counselor) to present the new curriculum for the Small World; she also thanked Dennis Flancia (a teacher in Japan) who helped them; likewise, she also thanked and acknowledged all the volunteer teachers in the community.
Finally, the event ended with the old song (Love in any Language) inspired by the Holy Spirit to Soar. Everyone was delighted, because everyone had again a fresh infilling love of the Holy Spirit and were ready to face the responsibilities/tasks assigned to them. All the workers felt blessed and eager to fulfill their services to expand God’s kingdom and bring more people closer to Jesus.
To God be the Glory!
