Kingdom Works Outreach Activity | Missionaries of Charity Home for the Aged Formation House

The Kingdom Works Ministry (KWM) under the Mission Ministry of the Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community (TLFCC), headed by their stewards, Sis. Baby Salazar and Sis. Thata Borromeo conducted their outreach initiative for this month at the Missionaries of Charity Home for the Aged Formation House located in Tayuman, Tondo, Manila on September 13, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This charitable event created an atmosphere of generosity, compassion and love, and brought joy to the fifty-five (55) elderly residents of the center.

The MWSS Chapter, led by stewards Sis. Beth David and Sis. Mayet Robles, served as sponsor of the event. The meaningful and successful conduct of the KWM and MWSS Chapter-initiated outreach activity was made possible with the able presence and hardworking efforts of thirty (30) participants and volunteers, consisting of fourteen (14) KWM workers, ten (10) MWSS chapter members, four (4) youth members from the New Gen, and two (2) head stewards of the Young Adults.

Moreover, Sis. Grace Pancho and Bro. Jolo Baclig, Head Stewards of the Young Adults also supported the initiative and served as volunteers.

The Missionaries of Charity was founded by Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Its objective is to love and serve the poorest of the poor by providing services including food, shelter, education and medical care.

The opening and binding prayers were led by Sis. Baby Salazar and Sis. Mayet Robles. Sis. Beth David delivered the opening remarks, while music was rendered by the Mission Work Music Group, led by Sis. Elena Garcia. For their part, four (4) senior male and two (2) senior female residents joyfully shared their talent in singing and received pairs of pajamas as early Christmas gifts.

In addition, welcoming the Yuletide season, the outreach workers rendered a medley of Christmas carols to the delight of the elderly residents. Also, they were serenaded by the KW Choir with their requested songs while the residents led the blessing of food before the feeding activity (for morning snack and lunch). The vibrant spirit of gift giving was further experienced by the residents as they received grocery items from the outreach participants.

Finally, Sis. Elvie Celso led the closing prayer while Sis. Thata Borromeo and Sis. Jo Cabrera (MWSS Chapter) offered the thanksgiving prayers as the event concluded.

To God be the greater glory!

VERSE FOR THE DAY

so that it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. This life that I live now, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave his life for me.
