HARVEST INGATHERING: FIESTA 2024 -June 29, 2024

On June 29, 2024, the Harvest Classes 1 to 4 (TLF commissioned members from December 2021 to January 2024 Spirit Empowerment Seminars) had their first ingathering at the Event’s Place of The Lord’s Flock (TLF) Catholic Charismatic Heritage Center. The theme “FIESTA” is a popular joyful tradition in the Philippines. This was an enjoyable way to nurture and encourage closer relationships among the members by engaging them in group presentations, fun games, “salo-salo” and “kuwentuhan” (eating together and chit chatting) in a festive environment.

“Banderitas” (flaglets), balloons, and the colorful shirts worn by the Harvest members filled the place with the spirit of festivity and excitement: Harvest-1 in Green, Harvest-2 in Red, Harvest-3 in Blue, and Harvest-4 in Yellow shirts.

The ingathering started with joyful singing followed by Riz Rizabal’s Opening Prayer and Sis. Techie Rodriguez’ (TLF Elder-Founder) Welcome Remarks. In her speech, she emphasized that the purpose of the ingathering is to give them the chance to get to know the other Class members better and to build personal relationships. She encouraged everyone to pray and sympathize with one another, not just within one’s Harvest Class but with the other Harvest Class members, too. She also gave practical examples of how to put these into action so the Class could understand her teachings better.

Afterwards, the fun was leveled-up with group games and the much-awaited group presentations. Harvest-1 showcased a dance rendition of “Kanta na Pilipinas” which was followed by Harvest-2’s duet of “Bakit Ngayon ka lang Dumating” while Harvest 3 did a dance number to the tune of “Piliin mo ang Pilipinas.” Harvest 4 won first prize for their Muslim dance rendition of the song “Praise the Lord, Oh My Soul” Tagalog version.

The performers gave their all with gusto! It was a great display of God-given talents that were noisily cheered with clapping and delightful shouts by members.

The energy continued with non-stop sharing of their experiences during their practices and actual presentations while they enjoyed the sumptuous Filipino food that they shared amongst themselves.

Genebeth Advincula closed the program by thanking God for the opportunity to get together and have fun. She prayed for everyone to keep the joy of the Lord in their hearts for the joy of the Lord is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10)

Truly, Harvest Fiesta 2024 Ingathering was a resounding success!

To God be the Glory
