The Good Samaritan Ministry (GSM) of The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community conducted a feeding program on February 25, 2024, in Bago Bantay, Barangay Alicia, Quezon City. It was a joyous occasion dedicated to uplifting the spirits of thirty-one (31) underprivileged children. The team of sixteen (16) dedicated GSM members prepared a program that encompassed various activities, delightful meals, prayer and a supportive atmosphere.
The activities included:
- Praise and Worship: The event commenced with a heartwarming session of praise and worship led by Sis. Elena Garcia, that fostered a positive and uplifting atmosphere.
- Prayer: A moment of prayer allowed everyone to come together and seek blessings for the outreach program and the well-being of the participating children.
- Introduction of the Ministry: Baby Salazar, steward of GSM introduced the Good Samaritan Ministry and provided insights on the support that is available to the community. She also presented the history of The Lord’s Flock Community.
- Getting to Know Each Other: The children were organized into groups to facilitate interactive sessions and the opportunity to know each other.
- Blessing of The Food and Eating Time: A heartfelt blessing was given for the nourishing meal which included spaghetti, tasty bread, juice, candies, and biscuits. This generous spread was sponsored by an anonymous
- Tokens of Joy: Candies and biscuits were distributed to the children, adding sweetness to the event.
- Birthday Greetings: Children who were celebrating their birthdays in February were greeted joyfully, making them feel cherished.
This outreach program reflects the Community’s dedication to creating a positive impact on the lives of children, fostering an atmosphere of love, support, and spiritual growth. Future plans include introduction to spiritual values, continued interactive activities and nourishment, and community integration.
