The first stop of the EUROPE MISSION was with the Palma de Mallorca Chapter. The three days were filled with activities – Grow Teaching, Retreat & Facing 2024, and a Spirit Empowerment Seminar.
Grow Teaching
The jet lag had no effect on the team as Soar immediately conducted a Grow teaching the following afternoon, August 16. About 20 leaders and members of the Chapter attended the talk.
RETREAT
The next day, Saturday, August 17, the Retreat and Facing2024 were conducted at the Amic Hotel’s conference room. Attended by thirty-seven (37) members, the retreat started at 11am with praise and worship led by Joy Molina (Las Vegas Chapter Steward). Soar did the opening prayer and this was followed by an ice-breaker game which was gamely participated in by members with their spouses. Bro. Froi gave the introduction to the “Ignite2024” video presentation and a recap video of the International Retreat held in Las Vegas in Nov 2023.
Soar’s Retreat message focused on the significance of the theme “Ignite” – the love and passion for Jesus must always be ablaze! She emphasized that they should have the joy and the boldness to evangelize and imitate the acts of the apostles; she specified their important roles as TLF members in fulfilling their tasks. Soar highlighted her teachings with verses from Acts 2:4, Acts 4:7, Acts 5:34 and John 1:35, 14:12, 15:16.
FACING
“Facing2024” immediately followed. The program started with the presentation and recognition of the 2023 leaders. Appreciation certificates were given to them by Soar and Bro. Froi. Conversely, the Palma Chapter demonstrated their appreciation to the Elders by giving flowers and tokens.
As an intermission, the members performed a dance number that showcased Ilocano, Visayan and Bicolano dances.
Subsequently, Bro. Froi shared the highlights and accomplishments for 2023 via a video presentation. He also presented the TLF financial report for 2023.
Finally, Soar appointed the new set of leaders who will serve up to their next anniversary in November, 2025. The three stewards were Erlinda Domingo, Adelaida Lobo and Fe C. Bautista. Eight coordinators were also announced.
SPIRIT EMPOWERMENT SEMINAR
On August 18, Sunday, Soar conducted the Spirit Empowerment Seminar which started at 7pm. There were five (5) candidates consisting of 1 male single and 4 female singles. They were joined by 37 members who also appreciated hearing Soar’s teaching again.
In a surprising twist, Soar was led by the Holy Spirit to present the teaching in an unusual format. She called on Bro. Froi, Joy, Judith (SERVE Ministry Head Steward), and Jess (SOWER Ministry Steward) to share their testimonies which highlighted their transformation and the works of the Holy Spirit after their renewal.
Thereafter, she delivered “The Four Basic Truths” which achieved more impact as these were elucidated by the testimonies. During the baptism in the spirit, the presence of the Holy Spirit manifested on the candidates and members, as they experienced overwhelming joy and inner peace.
The seminar ended at 1:30 the following morning. Indeed, it was a long but spirit-filled evening for all the participants.
