The East Coast 2025 Retreat of The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community, led by Elder-Founder Sis. Techie “Soar” Rodriguez, was held on March 2 at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Hoboken, New Jersey. The event brought together 65 attendees from the Virginia, New Jersey, and New York chapters, along with their invited guests.
The retreat began with a solemn Bible enthronement, followed by an uplifting Praise and Worship session led by members of the New Jersey and Virginia chapters. Soar opened the program with an anointing prayer and the song “Walk with You,” setting a reflective and spiritual tone.
In her talk, Soar emphasized the importance of having a deep relationship with the Lord. She reminded the participants of God’s desire to connect with us and make Himself known. She explained that God created us in His image and likeness to communicate with Him and share in His divine plans. Quoting John 15:16, Soar highlighted that God has chosen us and has sought to restore us. She further shared that God desires us to entrust our plans to Him (Proverbs 16:3), and delights in communicating with us through prayer, revealing His plans for our lives.
Additionally, she reminded the participants that they are not here by accident and God used the community to let you know God. She shared the three aspects in a personal relationship with God: Communication, Trust, and Obedience.
The activity brought joy to all the participants as they are reconnected with God and with one another. They also learned the life of Sis. Techie Rodriguez. They were inspired by God’s calling to her and her positive energy in dedicating sharing the Gospel and following Jesus Christ. The retreat ended with a closing prayer led by Sis. Techie. After the activity, all the participants gathered for picture taking and stayed for a blissful fellowship.
