Elder’s Outreach USA (Part 3A): East Coast FACING 2025 Feb. 28 – Mar 1, 2025

Soar Has Landed on the East Coast!

A warm ‘East Coast’ welcome awaited Sis. Techie “Soar” Rodriguez (Elder-Founder) and Judith Almendrala (Elders’ Outreach Steward) when they arrived on Feb. 28 at Newark International Airport, NJ from Los Angeles. The New Jersey Chapter, led by stewards Avel Dela Peña and Nenette Catbagan, along with coordinators Glynna Campo, Susan, and Danny Catbagan, greeted them with hugs and flowers.

Without delay, the group headed to the Coach House Diner in Jersey City, NJ, where Soar fondly reminisced about her past visits to this charming spot. Joining the lively late-night welcome feast were Krishy Ong (NJ Steward) and coordinators, Emma Ayuso and Mervik Ong. The evening was filled with laughter, stories, and delicious food, fresh salads and hearty burgers, that created a warm and festive atmosphere.

At the hotel, Soar was touched by a heartwarming surprise, which was lovingly prepared by the NJ Chapter! Her room was adorned with framed photos of her previous visits, which truly made her feel at home. The NJ Chapter ensured she had time to rest and recharge for the much-anticipated East Coast Facing 2025 the following day.

East Coast Facing 2025

The highly anticipated East Coast Facing 2025 was made possible through the collaborative effort of the East Coast Chapters, and enthusiastically hosted by the New Jersey Chapter at St. Francis School, Hoboken, New Jersey.  Indeed, it was a day of inspiration, reflection, and celebration.

Guests were greeted with warm smiles and a light brunch. The program began with joyful singing led by Judith Almendrala. A Parade of Banners followed, where leaders from both the New Jersey and Virginia Chapters proudly entered and showcased their banners. “Tatay”  Bobby Rodriguez (Elder-Founder) warmly addressed the gathering through a special video message. An audiovisual presentation that showed the previous year’s activities revisited the powerful moments from last year’s Facing. It took everyone down memory lane. Thereafter, “Soar” presented Certificates of Appreciation to the 2024 leaders and acknowledged their dedicated service.

In return, the East Coast Chapters expressed their gratitude to Soar, and presented her with a plaque of appreciation that highlighted her unwavering love, dedication, and spiritual leadership. Leaders and members also showed their love through special gifts, full of gratitude for Soar’s impact on their lives and their faith.

The surprises continued as the New Jersey and Virginia Chapters came together for a special dance number  to the song “I Want to Say Thank You.” This heartfelt performance was a beautiful tribute to Soar, acknowledging her sacrifices and her tireless work for the flock.

A significant moment of the event was dedicated to honoring the silent workers—the selfless individuals who work behind the scenes to ensure every gathering runs smoothly. Unaware that a video had been specially prepared for them, they were deeply moved by the tribute.

The highlight of the day was Soar’s much-awaited revelation of the Facing 2025 theme: “Transition. She shared that 2025 will be a year of spiritual restoration—a time to strengthen faith and remain steadfast through life’s trials and testing. She reminded everyone that while challenges may arise, what truly matters is how the Community will stand firm in faith during challenging seasons.

Following the theme announcement, the new leaders for 2025 were introduced and officially consecrated, marking the beginning of their mission to shepherd and serve the flock in the coming year.

The event concluded with a joyful fellowship with Soar  and the New Jersey and Virginia Chapters. The cold East Coast winter was transformed into an atmosphere of warmth, love, and unity—a testament to God’s grace and the unwavering faith of The Lord’s Flock Community.

As Soar’s visit to the East Coast continues, one thing is certain: her presence has once again ignited the hearts of the flock, inspiring them to serve even more fervently in 2025.

To God be the glory!
