Elder’s Outreach USA, Part 2: Bakersfield Chapter | September 7 and 8, 2025

Immediately after visiting the Los Angeles Chapter, The Lord’s Flock (TLF) Chapter Elder- Founder Techie “Soar” Rodriguez and Judith Almendrala (Outreach Steward) moved to the next stop: Bakersfield Chapter. The Outreach team was welcomed exuberantly by the community. The chapter was excited to meet and listen God’s message through their Elder.

September 7, 2025: Maturing in the Spirit Seminar

After more than a decade, the Maturing Spirit Seminar (MSS) finally took place for Bakersfield with over 45 participants eager to deepen their faith and strengthen their spiritual journey. This special event was conducted by our dear Elder-Founder Soar Techie Rodriguez. The activity was aimed at participants who should grow deeper in their spiritual life, strengthen their relationship with God, and mature in living out their Christian faith. It provided tools, inspiration, and encouragement to mature in spirit—to move from simply knowing about God to living a committed life of faith.

The seminar was held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event was opened with our energetic and well-prepared moderator, Raymond De Guia, who brought both enthusiasm and order to the program. He set the tone by warmly welcoming the guests and members and encouraging everyone to stay engaged throughout the event. The Praise and Worship then followed and was led by Marlyn Santos (Chapter Steward), who guided the people into a true encounter with God. Through songs, praises, and prayer, she helped make God’s presence known to everyone, uplifting hearts in joyful thanksgiving and celebrating His goodness.

Our Elder- Founder Soar conducted the MSS in Two Sessions, namely: Prayer and the other was Faith. Session 1 discussed in details about the prayer life and the Keys to a powerful prayer. It concluded with a group sharing, where participants reflected on their personal experiences related to the topic, answered guide questions, and shared personal insights and testimonies. Then, a delicious lunch was served to the community to end the session.

After lunch, Session 2 started with the topic conducted by Soar named, “Mountains Moving Faith”. She discussed two kinds of contrasting faith between Thomas and Abraham, and faith must be done with action. Soar emphasized that without faith it is impossible to please God.

After the session, Soar continued to spend time with the community, lifting prayers for healing and advising the members using God’s words. It was truly a fulfilling and remarkable day for the community receiving a great spiritual activity.

Afterwards, the outreach team and the chapter leaders headed by the Stewards Janis Daigan, Marlyn Santos, Eden Gabriel and Gerard Parayno, along with the coordinators, had a hearty dinner. Soar continued sharing God’s word to the leaders of the chapter and thanked their passionate service to the community.

September 8, 2025: A Quick Lunch and Send-off

Invigorated by the successful spiritual activity, the chapter leaders and members joined the outreach team for the Eucharistic Mass. After the mass, Soar met former SES participant who requested for prayer and encouragement as one of them suffers cancer. Soar, received miracle healing by God, prayed over them and gave hope through God. Next, they shared a lunch at Umi Japanese restaurant for a quick fellowship meal. With a little time to spend, Soar continued sharing God’s word to the chapter workers to inspire them and to be more patient, understanding, and loving with one another as a community. After all the well-wishers, the outreach team headed to Las Vegas for another spirit filled outreach.

VERSE FOR THE DAY

so that it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. This life that I live now, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave his life for me.
