The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community – UAE Chapter held its annual FACING 2025 at the Glendale International School in Oud Metha, Dubai, UAE. This event marked the highlight of the Elder’s outreach as the beloved Elder installed the 2025 UAE community leaders. A sense of gratitude and excitement filled the hearts of all members as they reflected on the efforts of their current leaders and anticipated the newly appointed chapter leaders for the year ahead.
The ceremony, moderated by Grace Malinao and Carlo Pfel Acuña, warmly welcomed Elder-Founder and Vision Holder Sis. Techie “Soar” Rodriguez, Co-Founder Bro. Froilan Hong, and the Outreach Team—Mel Capistrano, Josephine “Jojie” Cruz, and Faustina “Baet” Ng. Then, the moderators invited members to share testimonies about the outreach activities and their expectations for the community’s servants. After the sharing session, an uplifting praise and worship, led by Jovy Salazar of the Psalm and Koros Ministry, set a spirited tone for the event.
The Facing ceremony commenced with a parade of banners representing Dubai, Jebel Ali, Ras Al Khaimah, and Abu Dhabi chapters. Bro. Roberto “Tatay Bob” Rodriguez (video) expressed his gratitude to all UAE community workers. Following this, Soar and Bro. Froi awarded Certificates of Appreciation to the 2024 elders. After presenting the certificates, Soar delivered a heartfelt message of thanks for their service. Bro. Froi also presented the prestigious “Generosity Award” to the UAE chapter, recognizing it as one of the major financial contributors to the overall community.
In return, the UAE community expressed their gratitude by presenting gifts to their elders and the outreach team. The Small World Ministry gave the elders an album filled with personal photos, serving as a cherished reminder of their early introduction to the community. Additionally, little girls offered flowers to Soar, while the boys delighted everyone by taking turns in dancing for their beloved “Lola Soar.” The community also surprised Soar with a brand-new MacBook to support her ongoing work for the flock.
The highlight of the Facing event was the unveiling of this year’s theme: TRANSITION. Soar urged the community to embrace change with faith, obedience, and trust. She offered a heartfelt prayer, asking for God’s continued presence and guidance for the community. A video message from Sis. Mik Flores (Head Servant) added to the theme’s celebration.
After the unveiling, Soar and Bro. Froi announced the leaders for 2025. The community enthusiastically welcomed the appointments of the new officers and leaders, celebrating the fresh energy they would bring. In a heartfelt gesture, all the newly appointed leaders formed a cross and sang the Servant Song as the ceremony came to an end.
The event concluded with congratulations exchanged among members, followed by a sumptuous lunch. Attendees also enjoyed capturing the memories with friends at the photo booth, leaving the gathering with hearts full of joy and faith renewed.
To God be the Glory!
