It was Sunday. Many expected it to be sunny, yet the sky was grey as the wind swept steadily throughout the day. What might be perceived a gloomy day turned into a beautiful reminder of the unseen yet powerful presence of God’s love (like the wind), always moving, always surrounding and always penetrating. The Gospel that morning, reminded us that Jesus, the Prince of Peace, encouraged us not to let our hearts be troubled, no matter what grey clouds might form above us. Indeed, it was a day to experience the power of God’s love and redemption.
The day began in reverence, as candidates and members surrendered and lifted their hearts in thanksgiving during the Holy Mass. Fellowship followed over a delightful lunch at Omakase, where there was a sharing of sumptuous Japanese cuisine and warm conversation, nourishing both body and soul.
After lunch, the Spirit Empowerment Seminar (SES), opened with a faith-shaking worship service. Voices rose, hands lifted, and hearts opened wide as the Spirit of the Lord moved mightily among the candidates and members. The theme of the day was both clear and compelling – ‘Experience the Power of God’s Love and Redemption.’ Throughout the day, Soar, the charismatic spiritual mother, faithfully delivered Spirit-led teachings that stirred hearts and planted seeds of truth.
One of the highlights of SES was the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, a moment of sacred renewal: heartfelt, emotional, Spirit-filled, and undeniably powerful. One candidate shared: “The presence of the Holy Spirit overtook and overwhelmed me. I felt Jesus comforting me… I felt the warm embrace of the Holy Spirit. “This wasn’t simply a seminar; it was a spiritual rebirth, and they would celebrate their spiritual birthdays every 25th of May (a day marked forever in heaven and on earth).
Finally, the evening closed with a joyful shout of praise, dedicating a special song to the newly Spirit-empowered brothers and sisters. As Psalm 150:6 declares, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!” They weren’t just breathing in the natural—they were breathing a new life, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
It was a fitting conclusion to a divinely orchestrated day. As the night drew to a close, everyone gathered in love and gratitude to bid farewell to Soar and Team Vegas, who would journey onward to Bonn, Germany, and other parts of mainland Europe, continuing the mission that God had set for them.Indeed, everyone was deeply humbled and grateful for the presence of our Elder and Founder, Soar, here in Basingstoke, a long-awaited blessing fulfilled.
Above all, the glory was given to God, who moved mightily to everyone: renewed, transformed, and committed to walking in the power of His love and redemption.
To God be all the glory!
