The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community celebrated a joint birthday honoring for the Elder-Founders, Tatay Bobby Rodriguez and Sis. Techie (Sor) Rodriguez on August 6 at the Lord’s Flock Heritage Center. This year is an extraordinary milestone for both of them. Sor’s 77th birthday marks the pinnacle of her soul’s true calling; she is blessed with a greater connection with the Angel 77, who will guide her towards a path that will lead to epiphanies and breakthroughs in all areas of her life. Tatay Bob’s 79th year is the height of spiritual enlightenment and wisdom. The Community honored them as the models of faith and devotion, who have dedicated their lives to serving the Lord and the LF family.
Thanksgiving Mass and Honoring Program
A thanksgiving mass was celebrated by Fr. Bel San Luis and Fr. Arvin de Jesus at the Heritage Sanctuary. This was followed by an honoring program wherein their life-long friends, Roger & Glady Cabuñag, Lemuel & Jackie Marzan, and Ray & Myrna Munda were acknowledged. The Psalm Ministry joyfully led the congregation with the Happy Birthday song, while the leaders and godchildren showered Sor with bouquets of flowers and 77 roses. Furthermore, an audio-visual presentation highlighted the community’s appreciation for their love and spiritual guidance. The Intercessory Ministry and the Armor Bearers performed an original song number, “Techie, Techie, Techie” (composed by Joy Rodriguez) to Sor’s amusement; most of them were seniors, and they rendered the song with gusto! The Psalm Ministry came back on stage for the final song of blessing, “The Lord bless and keep you.”
Additionally, the international and local Chapters from different time zones participated in the celebrations and extended their heartfelt greetings to Sor virtually via zoom.
Dinner-Dance Party
Subsequently, Raymund Nobleza (Psalm Ministry Steward) and Theresa Almendrala (New Generation) enthusiastically welcomed all the guests to the Events Place. The “Wendy’s Project Band” led the community with an upbeat Birthday song as a radiant Sor made her entrance. Her spiritual adviser, Bishop Nes Ongtioco of the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral, graced the event and greeted the celebrants with an inspiring message: their birthday coincides with the feast of Jesus’ transfiguration and he prayed that Sis Techie and Bro Bob will continue to and inspire more people around the globe to transfigure themselves into the heart of Jesus Christ.
Thereafter, the Koros Ministry energized the ballroom with a retro dance number to a medley of 80s and 90s music. Many people in the round tables spontaneously stood up and danced along with them. Guests were then given the opportunity to have photos with Sor, after which they proceeded to the buffet table for the sumptuous dinner. Lastly, the band played non-stop dance music while two dance instructors led everyone in dancing their hearts out until 10pm.
It was indeed a joy-filled celebration to honor the Community’s spiritual parents who have offered their lives to leading people to walk in the footsteps of the Lord Jesus Christ!
Kudos to the Elders’ Birthday Committee and all the supporting Ministries, chaired by Lea Tapispisan for a successful celebration.
To God be the glory!
