FACING 2025 26 JANUARY 2025

The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community held their annual “FACING” ceremony last 26 January 2025 at the Heritage Formation Center. The Elders – Founders, Tatay Bobby Rodriguez and Techie “Soar” Rodriguez recognized and awarded certificates of appreciation to the previous year’s leaders and workers. They also appointed and consecrated the leaders for 2025. Most importantly, Soar revealed the theme or thrust for the year – “TRANSITION.”

Carlo Marudo (Pastor Ministry) and Emma Espina (Brethren Ministry) emceed the program with enthusiasm. They welcomed the attendees in the Heritage as well as the participants from local and international chapters who were linked through zoom. The excited leaders and workers entered the Sanctuary in their Sunday best and danced to the music “Celebration.” The Psalm Ministry and Koros Ministry were led by Judith Almendrala (Worship Leader) in joyful songs of praise. Tatay Bobby Rodriguez gave the opening remarks with his trademark jovial spirit.

What the Lord has done for the Community in 2024

A video followed which showed the meaning of “FACING” and the spiritual and prayerful preparation that it entailed. (The International Chapters will have their respective “Facing 2025” in their locations).

Bro. Froi highlighted the 2024 accomplishments (the Missions, Seminars, Summits, FTCC awards, Lenten Recollection, Special Events), the financial summary and an update on the Heritage construction. A special video was shown that honored all the silent workers behind the scenes.

Tatay and Soar gave Certificates of Appreciation to the leaders and workers of all the Ministries and thanked all for being part of their lives and for all the work that they did. Tatay reiterated that there is no small task and that service does notreally need a title or  to be visible; all are seen by the Lord.  They started with the Board of Trustees, Council of Advisers, and finally, the Ministry leaders.

The yearly Generosity Awards were given to: Hong Kong Chapters, UAE Chapters, Joey and Joy Molina, and Maria Roy.

Bro. Froi aptly wrapped up the 2024 Report with Psalm 126:3 “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy!”

Conversely, the Community was led by the Execom in expressing Appreciation to Tatay and Soar with Certificates of Appreciation and gifts.

“Transition 2025”

The highlight of the event was “What does the Lord has in-store for 2025? Tatay and Soar revealed the theme and explained that transitions have been happening in the Community since the 1980s to keep up with the times. The Catholic Church likewise identifies a theme every year. The theme is the underlying thrust that must pervade the tasks of the Community. Soar was inspired by the Lord and the Holy Spirit through a song that she was listening to as she was praying, “Walk with Me.” As the Elders and Founders, Tatay and Soar, along with Co-Founder Bro. Froilan, are gaining in years, and in the next ten years, they need young people to assist them in steering the path of the Community. Hence, they identified the theme “Transition” through fervent prayer and discernment. They mentioned that virtues are essential, and all must restore the lost spirituality to restore the world order. The Community can start with the tasks given by the Lord. For 2025, there is a specific need to strengthen and lead the small groups; some leaders with much experience are valuable in pastoring the small groups.

Soar announced the two Divisions of the Community:

The appointed leaders went up to the stage, signed their consecration letters, were anointed, and charged with their tasks. They proceeded to the center aisle and stood in a cross formation.  After all were called, the Elders led the consecration rites. As finale, they sang the Servant Song.  Everyone went up to the Events Place for a hearty lunch.

Indeed, 2025 will be full of challenges as transitions always have, but will also be full of hope and assurance that the Lord will prevail. Soar cited “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20).

To God be the glory!
