Immediately after the highly successful albeit spontaneous Healing Conference in Rome, Sis Techie Rodriguez (“Soar”), Elder-Founder of The Lord’s Flock Catholic Charismatic Community (TLF) was inspired by the Holy Spirit to conduct a Spirit Empowerment Seminar (SES) on February 11, 2023, Madrid, Spain.
The Preparation
While still in Florence, Italy, Soar contacted Bro. AJ Velasco (TLF Madrid Chapter Steward) to organize a meeting with TLF Madrid and prepare for the SES. She also requested Bro. Mel Velasco (TLF Heralds Steward) to invite members from TLF Palma de Mallorca Chapter.
As The Lord’s Flock is always a miracle ground, finding a venue for this event was indeed a miracle! There was no available venue for February 11th in the parish where TLF Madrid holds their weekly General Assembly. A miracle happened when Rev. Fr. Gerry Paat, SVD, called and offered a function room in their SVD Formation House on Calle del Acueducto, Madrid, Spain.
The Spirit Empowerment Seminar (SES)
After the long three-year wait because of the pandemic, Soar felt emotional when she finally met the two TLF Chapters in Spain. TLF Madrid and TLF Palma de Mallorca members were all ecstatic to be face-to-face with her again. TLF Madrid came in full force with the following Brothers and Sisters in attendance: Meliza Larita, AJ Velasco, Leticia Matedios Peleo, Beth Balagot, Allysa Daco, Marvin Corpuz and Malou. On the other hand, TLF Palma de Mallorca was well-represented by the following Brothers and Sisters: Manny Bautista, Jaime and Amy Martinez, Maribel Balicao, Fe Carilimdiliman, and Esmeralda Dumayag. Aside from the thirteen (13) TLF members, there were seven (7) guests/seekers who participated in the SES.
Fr. Gerry Paat started with a prayer and blessing for the Seminar’s success in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Then, Bro. Joey Molina (Evangelize Ministry) who led the Praise and Worship was ably supported by Sis Joy Molina (Las Vegas Chapter) and Sis Dra. Grace Pancho (Evangelize Ministry). Members of TLF Palma de Mallorca actively participated, most especially during the Intercessory Prayers.
Soar discussed her personal renewal journey since March, 1980 and how they all needed the Holy Spirit to guide them in their life’s journey. The event was highlighted by the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Our “kababayans”(fellow Filipinos), who have been away from home and family, were deeply touched by the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, as they renewed their faith and commitment to the Lord.
By the grace of God, TLF Madrid and TLF Palma de Mallorca continue to flourish, attracting people to experience a deeper relationship with God.
