Strategies of Satan

Once again, The Lord’s Flock (TLF) had a Healing Explosion on June 2, 2019 attended by those who want to know and understand how to live a peaceful life and to battle with their own weaknesses. With the wisdom given by the Holy Spirit to TLF Elder-Founder Sis. Techie Rodriguez, as main speaker, the attendees were healed physically, psychologically and spiritually.

Keep Fighting the War

Sis. Techie said that the war is against the flesh, world and devil. We must know Satan, our enemy – his origin, name, character, purpose, agents, target. He is after our mind as vividly explained. It can be our greatest enemy in trying to live the life of holiness that God has called us to live. For our mind desires to do evil as part of the whole nature within us, that makes us unholy and behave in unholy ways, as a result of having a carnal mind.

As Satan is after the flesh (Rom. 8:5-6) having a carnal mind is to gratify man’s sinful desires of the flesh- sexual immorality, impurity, debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft, hatred and discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions (Gal. 5:-17-20). Sis. Techie further reiterates that Satan is after the world. He is the father of the 21st Century.

God’s Word in Rom. 12:1-2 is that we should not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind so that we will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His pleasing and perfect will. And 1 John 2:15 reminds us that if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Satan also entices a person’s emotions. He knows his/her desires and passions and will play on them to get what he wants which is the person’s heart. He makes a person independent of God’s will. He also attacks our body, for God uses our body to reveal Himself to a lost world and Satan hates it. That is why he seduces a person’s struggle and hardship through physical and mental illnesses by possessions and temptation.

Our Fight is Spiritual Battle

Our struggle is not against the flesh and blood but against the rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Eph. 6:12). The battle is with the spiritual enemy and we are to be strong in the Lord. And we need an equipment in this fight that is designed to defend. This equipment is what we call the Full Armor of God:

  1. The Girdle of Truth
  2. The Breastplate of Righteousness
  3. The Shoes of the Gospel
  4. The Shield of Faith
  5. The Helmet of Salvation

In addition, there are two (2) defensive weapons that allow us to strike back when we are attacked by the enemy and these are THE WORD OF GOD and PRAYER. In our warfare against Satan, we must pray for whatever it is in our heart  as the Holy Spirit directs us through God’s Word (Eph. 6:18).

Where Our Battle Began

As explained by TLF Head Servant Bro. Froilan Hong, our battle is in the mind – lust, greed and pride. Lust for the flesh, power, money; the craving to have more and more which is greed; and pride – to be known, acclaimed, raised on a pedestal. It is Satan’s formula of oppression to lure man in sinful ways. The same formula he used on Jesus where he failed (Mt. 4:4). In today’s world, sensual lust – craving of the flesh, enticement for the eyes which is greed, pretentious life which is pride that happened and began in the Garden of Eden, where uncertainty and suspicion which is doubt is planted.

Whatever we put in our mind or whatever thought we entertain in our mind is our master. Our Free Will determines which spirit will influence our thoughts and actions (Holy Spirit or Demonic – negative unholy spirit)*.

*pamphlet on Strategies of Satan

Through it all, at the end of the day, the attendees received healing from the vivid explanations of Soar on Satan’s strategies as he attacks man to sinful ways. As they listened attentively and understand the teachings, that very moment they denounced Satan and his angels (evil spirit, unclean spirits and devils), his principalities, powers, world rulers and spiritual hosts. Denouncing Satan was manifested when Soar approached and embraced everybody individually. At that instance, those that had the opportunity to hold her hand, took it as JESUS who was holding them, embracing them, listening to them as they cried their hearts out for the healing of relationship, physical pain, and emotions. For them Soar’s embrace is God’s embrace.

Inside the Sanctuary, the presence of the Holy Spirit was felt overwhelmingly as everyone embraced and hugged each other; siblings, parents and children, silently cried and smiled as they forgave one another. Guests who came also took chance to talk with Sis. Techie and cried their hearts out. A 50-year old woman shared that she was once a Buddhist because she felt for herself the need to wander as she was seeking happiness and contentment in life. As she was prayed over by Sis. Techie, serenity in her eyes was noticeable as she denounced Buddhism and came back to her Catholic faith. The chance of talking to her as I interviewed her after her healing, is God’s way to tell the world of His presence and reign over the enemy and when the other participants also left the Sanctuary with peace and happiness.
